Made the opening lines for all sporting events booked by the Mirage properties (The Mirage, Treasure Island, Golden Nugget and Golden Nugget-Laughlin) on a daily basis, creating special odds such as half-time lines, quarter lines, innings lines, in-progress baseball lines, regular season wins and numerous other propositions in order to increase betting volume and bring recognition to the casinos.
Trained and instructed all supervisors and ticket writers in the proper procedures for accepting and tracking all wagers with special emphasis on those wagers which may ultimately require a currency transaction report (6A) to be filed. Personally rated and evaluated each employee formally for the company with a follow-up one-on-one meeting on a regular basis. Also trained supervisors in charting, movement and adjustment of the betting line. Oversaw shift scheduling.
Helped coordinate in-house special events such as championship boxing and Super Bowl parties with “satellite” betting stations fully manned during the events.
