I said this all along. Government money is budgeted based on deaths from disease. I said Flu deaths are overstated by the CDC. Big pharma lobbies are paying for the overstated numbers. People don't die from the flu. I remember Valuist and yourself pusheback hard on my theory. The pushback was based on phony CDC numbers. But at that time you thought they were accurate. Lol. The chart clearly shows a total collapse of inluenza like illness starting last march, and it lasted all year - apparently an illness like covid can literally overpower and suppress other respiratory illness's/virus. As you can also see jusr recently ILI is starting to return - which could indicate covid is weakening and the suppression is waning?

Influenza was contained last year by extreme covid safety measures such as shutdowns, social distancing, masks, barriers, etc. Not only in the USA but globally. Many lives were saved as a consequence, but unlike your claim there were still cases in the USA, as the CDC site showed:

Those are tiny numbers compared to historical norms, and the prevailing opinion is that the low flu and cold numbers were not the result of masks, hand washing or anything else, but the phenomenon of viral suppression(that the covid virus suppressed the prevailance of other virus). I didn't literally mean that zero people got the flu last winter,when the numbers are down 95% that's the same thing.

The reason that's not true is because the suppression is taking place even in countries that dont wear masks at all. or have any shutdowns of any kind. Many countries did none of that.

1) First of all, no, many countries did not do none of that.

2) Secondly extreme safety measures involve more than just shutdowns & mask wearing, but also social distancing, contact tracing, quarantines, border closures, testing, increased hand washing & cleaning of surfaces, barriers, etc.

3) Thirdly, furthermore, it's not just extreme safety measures that are factors in reducing such diseases, but as stated they are "largely" responsible for it.

Why? Because they want pandemic hysteria to continue so covid restrictions continue, take away the fear and EVERYONE want's to go back to normal - everyone except the people with new found power.

Louisianna dropped their mask mandate yesterday - 1st dem state, I believe 25 states have now done so(or never had any to begin with). Now we not only have masks going but many school districts in open states are dropping masks even in school, so while the CDC says kids should still wear masks outside, millions of kids will be in in person school without masks.

There never was impending doom, what there was was fear of impending dropping of restrictions, that's why the CDC director said that.
