Oh no, I'm sure they're very scared.

You dont really need to search UK papers for stuff like that, just check out the dakotas.

I like this chart from ND(most states dont have this kind of data easily accessable), it shows how vaccination uptake drops by age - notice they are essentially flatlined for all but the youngest. So this is it, under 40 yr old North Dakotans will see less than 40% coverage. South dakota is basically identical.

They're on the low end, had a fast start and fizzled out, they're at about 55% and wont see 60%.

They've vaccinated way more than these fools:

It takes weeks before vaccines take effect. Even then they may not have reached their full potency until months have passed.

May 1st was more than a couple of weeks ago, genius.

And months? LMAO. Now you're just pulling shit straight out of your ass.

South Dakota is nowhere near the level of vaccination that your puppet masters have told you would be required for herd immunity.

Yet, here we are.

"It has been suggested that personal impacts of the pandemic on residents had led to increased use of masks in South Dakota. Both of the Dakotas had seen noticeable declines in the rate of new cases since December, albeit slower in the South due to the lack of formal mandate.[43]"

When "it has been suggested" means "what actually happened", you just might be a libtard.

South Dakota is sparsely populated. It's not NYC.

Wait till winter & see how they do then. Being indoors in poorly ventilated spaces is considered 20X more risky re infections.

"On March 13, 2020, Governor Kristi Noem declared a state of emergency. Schools were closed beginning March 16.[44][45] An executive order was issued to encourage social distancing, remote work, and following the CDC guideline of capping enclosed spaces to 10 people at a time.[46] On April 6, Noem ordered vulnerable residents of Lincoln and Minnehaha counties who are 65 years of age or older or have a chronic condition to stay home until further notice.[47] The order was lifted May 11.[48]

The most hilarious part of these libtards arguing about masks is they blame South Dakota surges on people not wearing masks, then when cases fall, they claim that people were wearing masks.

It's a level of absolute insanity never before seen.

There are counties in the dakotas that have rates in the teens , my favorite is slope county ND - they're at 10%, only 25% of seniors have had a shot. i dont think they've had a case in months either.

just the threat of a vaccine worked there huh?

Umm. What does 2 months in 2020 have anything to do with the conversation at hand, genius?

It's 108 degrees in Vegas today. Is that outdoor weather in that puny little brain of yours?

May 11th of last year champ - last year, LOL. i was out in SD last july, everything was open, buffets, casino's included, the only masks were on a few tourists from crazy eastern states.

The fact is they did have a rather large surge in the fall, and it's estimated over 50% of the pop has immunity, so the vaccines are certainly helping, but the huge prior immunity is another major factor. But the fact is they stayed open all through the surge.

Haven't you yet learned that infection numbers are based on many variables. I've taught you this in many posts. LOL

So unless you're God & know it all, you're just whistling dixie & wasting your time posting such stuff repeatedly. Only to hear this over & over again, yet not penetrating the skull ;

That's why experts are experts leading the pandemic response. And you're not.

Covidiots just don't get it.

Another hilarious libtard argument in insanity. This same idiot is trying to compare rates in the United States with Canada while talking about "many variables".

More appeals to authority. Cute.

It's a good thing the "experts" you listen to are never wrong, that real experts always agree with the prevailing theories, and that science NEVER evolves from dissenting opinion in your puny little brain.

What a dopey little utopia you built for yourself.

"On October 7, President Trump posted a clip of the session on Twitter captioned "Great job South Dakota!"; Noem replied, thanking Trump for giving her government "the flexibility to respect Freedom and personal responsibility", and arguing that they made decisions "based on science, facts, and data". This praise came despite South Dakota having recently set new records for active cases and hospitalizations.[58] "

Yup. She's done one of the best jobs in America. Right behind DeSantis in Florida.

That 2.8% unemployment rate in South Dakota is impressive.

And they didn't even permanently scar the children there.

Obviously health experts are far more reliable re health issues than covidiots.

Do you go to an eye specialist re medical issues or a medical expert.

To err is human. Only God gets it right 100% of the time.

"Thankfully we didn't have amateurs like you who didn't even know what "herd immunity" means running the show. How much worse off we'd be now! If the covidiots, hoax advocates, conspiracy nut jobs, C-19's existence deniers, or anti extreme safety measures (lockdowns, masks, etc) people were in charge we'd have over 40 million dead already instead of a small fraction of that.

"this is the process intelligent people follow.

When there is new information, or the understanding of a situation evolves, intelligent people modify their opinions and advice. AKA "change their minds".

Others who are threatened by their own fear and insecurity that they may be wrong, doggedly stick to their original position and find excuses to justify their inability to learn from new information."

What an idiot like you fails to comprehend is that there are experts with differing opinions from the ones shoved down your throat by the mainstream media.

Including a slew of PEER-REVIEWED studies that contradict the bullshit you accept as fact.

You'll never understand it, because you're WAY too far gone from the brainwashing.

Nonsense.

Been there, done that. Usually these so called "experts" your ilk post is easily debunked.

But almost always they post from amateur garbage know nothings.

Your ilk seldom refer to such. You included.

The simplistic stuff in this post of yours i am replying to is hardly worth my time. Try something of substance for once instead of having the need to constantly try to add to your arguments with insults.

"Aaron Blake of The Washington Post questioned the validity of some of the statistics Noem quoted, noting that South Dakota's mortality rate per-capita on the specified date was "more than twice" that of Illinois, and that Illinois's seven-day average per-capita at the time of writing (79 per-100,000) was lower than South Dakota's peak (165).[38] In regards to New Jersey, Blake noted that the state had the highest mortality rate per-capita overall, but that the majority of these deaths took place in the early stage of the pandemic prior to the mask mandate. In addition, he pointed out that while New Jersey did have a recent spike in hospitalizations, South Dakota had multiple two-week spikes in hospitalizations over the past few months that were higher than 34%, and presently had the second-highest number of hospitalizations per-capita nationwide, 58 (behind only Nevada), as opposed to 38 in New Jersey, and 28 in California (another state singled out in the op-ed).[38]
