The point is that sanctions have failed, their effects on russia were not nearly what we anticipated and they have adapted to them far more quickly than anyone thought.
In fact the sytemic and likely permanent changes they're making to their trade relationships will likely benefit them enormously in the long run. Meanwhile the US and especially europe are the only true victims.

Ukrane was a patsy to see what russia would bring to the table and get them to spend. China seen what happened to russia with sanctions. China wants no part of sanctions. They are too smart. They complain about tariffs. China will have to think another plan till the chip factories built in USA. Then they will do something with taiwan.
