I feel he should bat 3rd, but both he and Giambi both have great OBP's, so either way its fine.

1. Damon
2. Jeter
3. Giambi
4. Arod
5. Abreu
6. Posada
7. Bernie
8. Melky
9. Cairo

Arod will benefit the most from having Abreu in the lineup.

When Sheff, Matsui, and Cano come back the lineup will be devistating. Sheff will be the DH.

Damon
Jeter
Giambi
Arod
Sheffield
Matsui
Abreu
Posada
Cano

The opening odds start here
I really don't know how you take Melky and Bernie out of the lineup permanently the way both have put numbers up and played defensively. I think for the rest of the season as severe as the injuries both to Sheff and 'Sui, you platoon both. Torre will have his hands full come postseason time and will really have to look into pitching matchups as to who should be in there for the long haul.

Melky has played a good defense. Bernie has become a pretty bad outfielder.

Postseason is very different than regular season. Not sure I want Melky in there in a big spot.

WFAN in NY.

Abreu batting 5th
Posada 6th
Bernie DH-ing.

Can only assume that Melky and Cairo round out the lineup.
