Holy Fuck! Needless to say a great hire, I was hoping they would go after Skip, I thought Tito retired due to health reasons

He was a great manager. Will he be from age 65 and upward remains to be seen. Historically, retreads haven't done well. Certainly in football we've seen countless former successful head coaches return only to never recapture the lost glory. At some point its a younger man's game. Maybe more true in football but considering how the Indians/Guardians performed this year, they didn't seem to miss him.

65 isn't old, no reason to think his baseball mind won't be as sharp as it's always been, he brings instant respect to the dugout, Bruce Bochy won the WS last year at 68, fair point about the Guardians, but time might prove Vogt to be a great manager

We will see. Francona retired a year ago citing health reasons.

I like your Mets play. Agree they feel like a team of destiny.

That's my concern, I don't know what health issues he dealt with, but baseball is a grind, 6 months of non stop travel, constantly being away from your family, but if he's ready to come back as soon as the season ended, I have to think his health is where he wants it to be, he could have waited a couple months to make a decision, but if he feels he's ready right now, I have to think he's good health wise

I think the team that was fighting for the playoffs in September, playing big games all month, has the edge over the team that basically had nothnig to play for the last month and have been sitting around,

Devin Williams was tipping his pitches, change up versus fastball. You could see a coach talking to Alonso before his AB. After he circled the bases and into the dugout, same coach was pointing at him yelling 'I told you'....

When I said sitting around, I didn't mean the players were sitting on their couches all day doing nothing, but they haven't played since Sunday, that's a long time to be off, and the games they played in September were mostly meaningless, meanwhile the Mets have been playing very important games in September, I like the continuity of the Mets who have been playing almost every day

He was 2 for 14 this series and looked worse.

789 yesterday was O Fer 9 in top of the 8th...and you have Acuna Martinez Bader and Torrens on bench and no body pinched hit...cmon...the rookie manager might get in the way of destiny

U can feel the good energy he brings to the team when he's in there. Like to see Lindor/Acuna 1/2 in the order

Also, Acuna first one out celebrating last night
