A'ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces

A'ja Wilson, a virtual cinch for WNBA Rookie of the Year, caused a stir recently by discussing the massive wage cap between NBA and WNBA players.

Wilson plays for the Las Vegas Aces and said the women of the WNBA deserve equal pay to their male counterparts.

Uh oh.

NBA players sometimes support the ladies by attending WNBA games, an easy way to fulfill the personal services portion of their NBA contracts.

But if Wilson is looking for millions of dollars to play basketball, she will have to look elsewhere.

Unless, of course, NBA players agree to equal pay by adopting the WNBA pay scale where the top salary this season is $115,500.

Not happening nor should it.

Wilson should be reminded of life in the jungle, "You eat only what you kill."

Tell ya what A'ja.............how about trying to make it on your own without any help from others! When more than crickets attend your games - we can talk. The NBA gets massive TV money because people watch. Waterboarding is more enjoyable than watching a league where I can find 5 guys at the park in their 40s and they would beat you. The top BOYS HS VARSITY teams in SoCal would MERCY your team in a game. Mater Dei/Bishop Montgomery/Fairfax and more would win by 40+ and they are in HS.

Be happy you exist rather than cry for more when you are lucky to get anything.

The Aces have a good nucleus with Wilson and McBride. Wilson needs to concentrate more on the bunnies. She misses too many close to the basket. Give the team credit. Their biggest game of the year vying for a playoff spot was against the Sky and won. You'd figure a hangover next out v. Conn but won that too.

Great fourth-quarter rally by the Aces after trailing 73-61 entering the final quarter.

Add "elite ticket scalper" to my EOG glossary and Railbird's resumé.

Announced crowd last Saturday night at Mandalay Bay Events Center was 3,363.

Most tickets are priced under $20.

And A'ja Wilson was suggesting WNBA players deserve equal pay to their male counterparts.

Embarrassing.

The next time someone says the to be polite but not factual expression
“ there is no such thing as a dumb question “
We can with certainty know there are very dumb questions and in this case very dumb statements.
Or
perhaps she is auditioning to be some sort of a wrestling heel ?

The Sparks games probably create more parking revenue than ticket sales do for MGM.
