Loved it. Seemed like a great guy with a big heart. The term gentle giant definitely applies to him.

Andre The Giant wrestled at Soldier Field in the fall of 1972.

I was nine years old and begged my father to take me to 'rasslin.

After all, what nine-year-old doesn't want to see a giant?

What i found interesting is they said he was normal size until he was about 15. Lots of funny stories about his drinking and farting.

My dad took me to the matches in St paul around 74 or 75, we were maybe 20 rows back and he walked right by us as he entered, wrestling was huge fun back then.
