Chad Brown, Todd Pletcher, and Steve Asmussen win all kinds of races. Baffert really specializes in the Triple Crown races. They are the races Joe Public knows about, but real racing fans know the sport goes 52 weeks a year; not five.

Doubt the casual viewer cares much about horse or player drinking magic milkshakes. Those of us degenerates that sprinkle cash on these reindeer games take notice

Baffert's Either a Cheater, an Idiot, or Neither.

He Knows All The Rules.

Whoever Administers The Drugs into The Horse, Baffert Needs To Be There, to make sure Protocol is Followed.

How Hard is That ?

Other Possibility.

People Drawing Sample From Horse, Tamper with the Specimen.

Enemies of his in The Sport Conspire. To Take Him Down.

It's One of The Three.

Cheater, Idiot, Conspiracy.

Baffert is looking silly. It's a allowable medication, however the horse had double the amount. To
continue saying the horse has never been treated with the drug......well :sneaky:

I predict second sample inconclusive. Baffert walks.

The industry already on life support. More drug controversy especially in KD turns horse racing into the now dead cycle and track and field sports.

Bob Baffert was found not guilty in cases involving Gamine and Charlatan earlier this year.

Gamine and Charlatan won races at Oaklawn Park last May, but the horses were found to have excess levels of lidocaine in their systems.

Initially, the Arkansas Racing Commission disqualified Gamine and Charlatan and redistributed purse money.

Upon further review, the wins were reinstated after Baffert and his attorneys claimed the horses were contaminated by assistant trainer Jimmy Barnes and his use of a Salonpas patch.

Hmmm...

The 1968 Kentucky Derby and the 2021 Kentucky Derby will be forever linked.

Dancer's Image won the Kentucky Derby in 1968, but was disqualified after traces of phenylbutazone were discovered in the mandatory post-race urinalysis.

The disqualification was announced three days after the running of the Kentucky Derby with second-place finisher Forward Pass declared the winner and Dancer's Image placed last.

there is a whole story to that, its not that simple of a situation at all.. whent years and years and the winning horse was a target

Kentucky Derby aftermath
Fuller and the horse's handlers filed an appeal of the disqualification, as they believed someone else may have been motivated to give the colt another dose of phenylbutazone. The Kentucky State Racing Commission examined the matter and ordered distribution of the purse with first money to Forward Pass. Fuller took legal action and, in December 1970, a Kentucky Court awarded first-place money to Dancer's Image.[9] That decision was overturned on appeal in April 1972 by the Kentucky Court of Appeals in Kentucky State Racing Comm'n v. Fuller, 481 S.W.2d 298 (Ky. 1972).

Controversy and speculation still surround the incident, and in 2008 The New York Times called it "the most controversial Kentucky Derby ever".[10] Forty years after the disqualification, owner Peter Fuller still believed he was a victim of a set-up, due to his being a wealthy civil rights sympathizer from Boston who offended the Kentucky racing aristocracy by donating Dancer's Image's $62,000 prize for a previous victory to Coretta Scott King two days after her husband's murder. Fuller said he had anticipated that someone might interfere with his colt and asked Churchill Downs officials to provide extra security before the race, but they denied the request. As of 2008, the Churchill Downs media guide for the Derby still included the official chart showing Dancer's Image as the winner.[11]

Legalized in 1974 by the Kentucky Racing Commission,[12] phenylbutazone was so commonly used by 1986 that thirteen of the sixteen entrants in that year's Kentucky Derby were running on the medication.[13]

Not defending Baffert.

Just noting that Charlatan's win in the 2020 Arkansas Derby was reinstated.

Pimlico and the Maryland Racing Commission are in a tricky spot.

Do you stop Baffert from entering Medina Spirit?

What about Concert Tour?

I sense Pimlico will look the other way and allow Baffert to enter both horses.

Pimlico is the same racetrack that quickly stuffed Barbaro back in the starting gate of the 2006 Preakness Stakes after the 1/2 favorite lunged forward and crashed through Gate 6, likely injuring himself in the process.

Barbaro broke down 100 yards into the race and then broke his leg in 20 places over the next 100 yards.

I'm betting the gate incident and the fatal injury were related.

In yesterday’s sixth at Belmont a horse ironically named “Leap to Glory” broke through the gate before the start and ran an eighth before
being pulled up and reloaded back into the gate. He finished dead last in the race after being “eased” by the the jock.
Most likely injured when he broke through the starting gate.
He probably should have been scratched. Doubt he was even vetted after the gate mishap.

Be careful of the higher priced of an uncoupled entry. Baffert himself won the 1998 Derby with Real Quiet, while he saddled the favorite, Indian Charlie, who ran 3rd.

Horses Cannot.

Who Juices The Horses ?

The Owner, The Trainer, The Veterinarian, The Veterinarian Assistant, The Walker ?

This Stuff Doesn't Require a Law Degree To Get To The Bottom of it.

If Baffert Didn't Juice Him, Why Does He Get Suspended ?

Not good for the sport.

The stewards are reaching out to the owner of Medina Spirit this week.

Thirty horses have registered positive drug tests on Baffert's watch.

Baffert saddled his first horse, a quarterhorse, in 1970.

Baffert switched from the quarterhorse game to the thoroughbred sport in the early 1990's.

There is a rule in racing called Trainers responsibility. The trainer is responsible for any outcome of a drug test on a horse he races. The trainer manages the horse. Everything falls on him.
