r3 has a 4/5 M/L and show betting, but may not be any jumping

very true the ADWs caught a minor break. Plus factor in most ADWs offering some rebates on action have long since banned show wagering from the value bridge jumpers. but very rare to ban or limit place wagering. thought this place pool would get much larger actually.

I posted previously that with entries the track/ADWs obviously root hardest for both ends to miss, but second best outcome for them is both make it.

They really take a bath if one part of the entry gets there and the other doesn't.

they do better with the entry actually

if the second choice got 2nd or 1st wtih the FAV

7/2 29,400 18% 7,252 (Call it $7000 for easy math) they have about 3500 tickets to pay approx 0.60 plus give back the $7000 ($2.60 place) like in race 3


the way it happened in race 2 they kept or did not have to pay out the $7000 ie better for the ADWs and tracks

as it happened, they took 135,841 of place bets and paid $124,725 in winnings, so an $11,116 profit, which means they had an effective takeout of 8.2%


What I posted was correct. That was the second best scenario (both ends of entry run in top 2) for the track.

The best scenario is both ends of the entry miss and they get full takeout+breakage.


So basically they got half the profits they could've had. Had both ends missed, they would've gotten over 16% of the pool.

#1 will likely be lopsided in show pool as a result (not that the scratches were top contenders, but it helps concentrate the betting)

It was not too late.

Those were not the final numbers.

Horse had about 11k in the show pool out of about 13,400

Strangely enough, r9 got a lot more action

Over 27,000 on the #4 horse in a 10 horse field!

I did not want to bet this one but when the numbers kept growing I felt I had to go for it.


Lost about $700 on exotics and place/show wagers.


r9 horse had 74% of show pool

r1 horse had 82%

crazy amount of late show money in the Haskell.

Good Magic wound up with over 155,000 to show and the total pool was over 257,000

not even close to a negative pool, but a surprising amount of show money
