Monkey business, that is.

I'll file a full report later today.

Staying at Taormina Hotel and Casino in downtown San Jose.

One of the biggest bookmakers in the world (last name rhymes with Taco) recently acquired the property and it has been receiving excellent reviews from some of the top travel sites like Travelocity and TripAdvisor.

Re: Business trip in Costa Rica

Trip will last two weeks with several Super Bowl parties to attend.

I also plan to dine with Costa Rican boxing star Francisco Fonseca and receive a guided tour of Costa Rican International Sports (CRIS).

Re: Business trip in Costa Rica

Noted bookmaker Mike Corrigan will join me this week and industry giant Arturo O'Connor (aka Viejo Dinosaur) will ship in from D.R. next week.

Now if only I could find some college hoop winners.

How is Notre Dame going to score tonight at Cameron Indoor Stadium?

Fish and chips with a cup of coffee cost $22 at Denny's near the San Jose airport.

And I thought the prices on the Las Vegas Strip were high!

Nice, the old Mona Lisa hotel. JK your hotel is girl friendly, and right in the heart of the pay to play area of town. Best of all is a fantastic restaurant one block away for lunch. Soda Peru is open 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Great lady runs the place that has lots of seafood dishes Peruvian style at reasonable prices. Try it if you get a chance.

John returns shoeless from San Jose once again . . . . the victim of unscrupulous masajistas.

He will undertake any sacrifice to get EOG Radio back on the air.

Thanks for the recommendation, Rockfish.

I'll head there tomorrow for lunch and report back on my findings.

Whenever I hit a "duck hook" off the tee on the golf course, we call it a "Thurman Munson" because it is a dead Yank.

Business trips are tax deductible.

Is there an integrity tax coming to offshore as well?

I hope not.

Re: Business trip in Costa Rica

A busy Tuesday here in San Jose:

Walked down Central Avenue to get a lay of the land.

Found what I was looking for when I located a massive park, La Sabana Park, with three full basketball courts.

I'll enjoy a serious size advantage (albeit a noticeable speed deficiency) against my Costa Rican opponents.

Downtown San Jose, Costa Rica is similar to Tijuana, Mexico with dirty streets, subpar infrastructure and crazy drivers with no regard for the rules or the road or the rules of the road.

EOG contributor ROCKFISH earlier in this thread recommended a seafood restaurant in the neighborhood of the Taormina Hotel and Casino.

Ate there yesterday and I credit ROCKFISH with a winning selection.

Ordered Filete De Corvina Al Aljillo (Fried Seabass in Garlic Sauce).

Pictures coming up.
