Chargers sign Moll a one-year contract, release Gamble
In a move that cleared a roster spot for the addition of veteran offensive lineman Tony Moll to a one-year contract, the San Diego Chargers released rookie linebacker Darryl Gamble.
This comes at a time when the Chargers offensive line is extremely thin thanks to injuries to left guard Kris Dielman, right guard Louis Vasquez and left tackle Marcus McNeill.
Moll was originally a fifth-round draft pick in 2006 by the Green Bay Packers and joined the Baltimore Ravens in 2009 and 2010 before being acquired by the Chargers today. ?He played in 60 games from 2006-10 with the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens. He also spent training camp with Jacksonville this season. Moll has started 12 games at right guard, seven at right tackle and two at tight end.
The San Diego Charger put four lineman through workouts on Tuesday, according to Chargers beat reporter Kevin Acee, and it is possible that the team will sign an additional lineman to add some depth in front of quarterback Philip Rivers.
The Chargers? left tackle Marcus McNeill and right guard Louis Vazquez were hurt in Thursday night?s loss to Okaland Raiders which made San Diego Charger are short of offensive linemen after. Theleft guard Kris Dielman also has missed three straight games with a concussion.

DeSean Jackson apologize to Eagles
To the outside world, it looked like DeSean Jackson was being a good team player, adjusting just fine to the Philadelphia Eagles’ apparent desire not to sign him to a new contract during the offseason or when the negotiating period for re-upping players came and and went last week.
Jackson didn't attend a special teams meeting Saturday morning and was told to stay home the next day. The Philadelphia Eagles lost to Arizona Cardinals 21-17 to fall to 3-6 in a season that began with Super Bowl aspirations.
A league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter on Sunday that Jackson overslept, causing him to miss the meeting. However, on Monday, Jackson didn't deny that he purposely skipped the meeting to make a statement because he's upset about his contract situation. He's in the final year of his rookie contract and made it clear he wants a new deal when he held out 11 days in training camp.
Philadelphia Eagles DeSean Jackson got emotional apologizing to teammates for putting himself in a position to be scratched Sunday.
Jackson was early for the get-together, having spent time discussing his issues with head coach Andy Reid.
A teammate confirmed it.
The Pro Bowl wide receiver had his reasons for blowing off a team meeting Saturday. And they are contract related, as in he’s frustrated he hasn’t been able to get the contract extension he feels he deserves.

Jonathan Vilma out after knee surgery
Because of undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery . Jonathan Vilma has missed the last two games with the New Orleans Saints . He has struggled for weeks with a left knee injury, had surgery for his bothersome condition despite earlier denials by the team
Vilma indeed did undergo surgery. He was inactive for Sunday’s overtime victory at Atlanta Falcons that came courtesy of Mike “The Gambler” Smith.
But there was no detail reports about when the surgery was performed . Meanwhile when he will reture was also unclear
Vilma had been hampered for weeks and he was also sidelined last week when the Saints played the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has been wearing a soft brace on the knee.
So, while the New Orleans Saints have been mighty open with the media about the knee surgery coach Sean Payton had – someone even provided medical results to Fox – they’ve been hush-hush when it comes to the veteran linebacker.
According to the report .Much speculation had surrounded Vilma's condition, not only because he missed several practices but the linebacker also did not attend his foundation's annual fundraising dinner last week in New Orleans.
