Clara Tauson vs Osorio Serrano ADVICE

I'm struggling right now and really want to bet the max on Claura Tauson to WIN this tennis match against a player who has played a lot of tennis lately and is probably going to gas out as the match goes on. Obviously books know this because typically the price wouldn't be this high on Tauson which is -328 at bookmaker and I can bet the max $6,560 to win $2,000.

I know making these type of bets aren't a recipe for success (I know first hand) so I'm really going back and forth but for some reason I just have confidence Tauson will eventually be too much for her opponent. What do you do? I understand fully its just one tennis match though. Its just tough.

Osorio Serrano is coming off a tournament in Bogota, Colombia she won which ended on Sunday. That was a 3 set final. She flew to Charleston on Monday. Played a 3 setter the next day, got a day off then proceeded to beat McHale in 3 sets yesterday winning not one tiebreaker but two. She played 2 three setters this week.

I'm no doctor but COME ON. She is 19 but Tauson is 18. She's only human. I'm going to take my shot.

saw similar scenarios many times previously as mentioned; andreescu comes to mind a couple of years ago. faded her, she still prevailed, made the mistake of taking the game handicap next match and got burned when she had to retire, getting only a refund. not totally sure but I believe if I had made it a match bet instead it would have cashed since more than a set had been completed.

also went with tauson, bol.

Why do I pick the one match that has so much drama? Out of all the matches and bets one can make for the day or month or year. I pick this one that winds up being so strange. She screamed out in pain about her knee a point before the set was won by Osorio Serrano

When 5dimes was around I believe they only had one set completed then all bets count. I know for sure betrivers has 1 set only. Bovada/bookmaker match has to be completed.

So if bet a dog that is down 6-0, 5-0 and then she withdraws, you get your money back???

Not at formerly what was 5 dimes and a lot of the legal sportsbooks in America. Bovada and bookmaker you absolutely get your money back.

This was big when Davydenko retired in his tennis match like 15 years ago. He retired in 3rd set but people were betting his opponent even though he was up a set and a break in 2nd. They thought it was match fixing.

Also don't forget that if you bet a MLB game at say OVER 8, road team batting in the top of the 9th, home team is ahead 15-0, then a 2 hour downpour ensues. Game is called, total is NO ACTION.

Or how about a night CFB game, favorite opens laying 3-4 pts, gets bet all the way to close at 7, fav ahead 27-7, about halfway (7:41 left) thru the 4Q the power goes out. Game called, side and total NO ACTION.

Been on both sides of these situations. I just had no idea tennis bets were refunded due to retirements. In golf if a guy tees off and later withdraws during the round or tournament it's treated as a loss so I had assumed same in tennis.

Many here probably too young to remember this, but this one was very blatant.
Off of my iffy memory (I’d guess closer to 12-13 years ago), Davydenko should have been @ a 3-1 or 4-1 pre-match favorite. But books $$ turned his OPPONENT into a 3-1 pre-match favorite.
And his opponent, as I recall, became a BIGGER favorite after Davydenko won 1st set 😯
Then, -Surprise!- Davydenko claimed a leg injury and retired.
By most online books’ rules at that time, the $$$ pouring in on his opponent should have won.
But there was a huge uproar, & after a fairly long period, all bets were cancelled.
