There is no question that BFC had every right to cancel the wagers two hours prior to the game and then every attempt was made to notify the players of this decision. The posted line at the time the decision was made was an average of 90 cents off ffom what was widely available at other shops and the volume and size of the wagers that were placed is indicative that the players were perfectly aware of this and were looking to take advantage of the situation.

Regardless, some have decided to turn this issue into a feeding frenzy and I am sickened by the attitude of more than a few posters who clearly have nothing better to do with their time than sling insults at us for taking a stand that is well within our rights.

The Denver ML wagers have been reinstated and the players' accounts have been credited accordingly. However, it needs to be said that this is primarily a decision that is being made out of regret for some things that were said last night and should in no way be considered a change of heart regarding the keystroke error made by the BFC clerk. Our position has always been and will continue to be that BFC has the right to cancel any wagers involving obvious line errors and this is how we will conduct our business in the future.

I have no intention of discussing this matter with those that do not believe that we had the right to cancel the wagers as it serves no purpose whatsoever. Bottom line is that it is our position that we do indeed have this right and in the future, our customers can expect to see a similar response when we discover that we have posted a bad number.

Judge not sure why u and the BFC guys are all angry and blaming others for your lack of line changing.

The facts are.

1. You can do as u please just like any other sportsbook can. So yes you have the "right" to cancel anything u want.

2. The line was good all day. It got hit heavy at places, you reacted slow on moving the line

3. You blame it on the players and pretend it's their fault u guys messed up.

4. You did the right thing and gave them the win.

No bias in this post. Just stating facts

not sure it was necessary to reinstate the bets since they were cancelled before the game, but a nice gesture.

The most important issue is the fact that your representatives at times brag about having the best lines on games. When not completely obvious if it was a bad line or not, that is going to lead to problems since you have claimed to take stances and have great lines.

With your analogy Judge, anyone who bet the Dallas opener should have their bets cancelled. That was an obvious error line if you quote the closing line.

At the time the wagers were placed (and canceled shortly thereafter at 4:10 EDT), the Denver 1st Half numbers were -325 at 5Dimes and -315 at Pinnacle and I think we can all agree that the Pinny number can be considered as an extreme example of what was widely available. BFC’s intention was to hang -365 which would have an expected return of 78.3%. Granted, this is still slightly less that the 7% cited in Pinny’s article and considerably higher that the examples I have provided but -265 had not been available anywhere since Wednesday afternoon and the number actually moved to -340 at Jazz shops by 7:10 EDT.

I have not claimed that any BFC player was taking a shot but rather that when we saw an unusual amount of action coming in on this offering, it was realized that a data entry mistake had been made and the wagers were cancelled and players were notified of our decision well before tip-off. I will not go so far as to claim that the situation was handled appropriately by BFC at EOG but I stand by BFC’s assertion that this was a clerical error.

As always, everyone is free to believe whatever you choose to.

How then do you explain the -181 difference in the line they had on a UFC fight and Pinny's lines. You telling me that was a data entry mistake. They were all out of the office or they would have seen people were pounding the ML on Denver first half.

The Judge has said, and I think this is important, that Denver was -265 and Dallas was +305 when people put these wagers in. If this is true, then the player deserves nothing and is wrong in this spot.

To date, there is not a single legitimate complaint about BFC regarding our service or payouts. We are front and center and take all shots from internet tough guys like yourself on the chin. I don't see how the book could be wrong if the Mavs were +305 and the Nuggets were -265..... Sorry, but I don't see how it's possibly that the book is in the wrong here.

Clearly it was a bad line if they were -265 and their opponent was +305 at the same site.

If this was the case I find it hard to believe that they would've have said this right away when all the fuss was made last night. Surely they can look back and see the 5 guys who took the Mavs ML and see what line they had.

This is confirmed as I have personally viewed the wagering history. As far as what was or was not made clear last night, I have no control over as I was in an airplane and was not aware of the situation until this morning.

Then the proper word for this situation is "shot takers". They bet into an obvious bad line. I feel no sympathy and actually think BFC is extremely generous for awarding these wagers as winners.

I will not go so far as to claim that the situation was handled appropriately by BFC at EOG but I stand by BFC’s assertion that this was a clerical error.

I'm no bookmaker but it seems if anyone with half a brain from the book explained this from the start rather than talking about people betting their balance, everyone would've looked at the situation differently.

almost every shop takes very min action on the ufc and not everyone has 15 different books to find the best middle.
Find something like that in the major sports and i will buy it. Not the ufc.

A word of advice to BFC: don't reference Pinnacle with regard to any of your lines. Pinnacle is the NFL, while you are 5th grade age-level kids, 10 year olds, playing in the backyard.
