EOG's Fifth Annual Day at the Races

Opening race at Monmouth Park was won by #7 Strawberry Red at odds of 10/1.

Here's something you don't see every day: The horse was ridden by its trainer, Luis Rivera, Jr.

The jock got doused with water on his way back to the paddock..he was very happy....the horse paid over 31 bucks to win....the rest of the day saw chalk dominate....

Fifty Cint was under the weather and could not make it....I went anyway and checked out the sportsbook and restaurant....over 30 TVs in the bar with good food...plenty of windows open right outside the bar and a couple walk up places to wager inside...I believe they will do extremely well with a great handle....lost money on the nags but had a good time anyway...

That's the problem with playing the races.

You can enjoy yourself and lose.

I hate that feeling.
