Final score: 81-67, Dayton.

The score was sitting at 81-65 with 22 seconds left and Dayton in a position to dribble out the clock.

Dayton sophomore Dwayne Cahill, who hasn't started a game in his college career, lost the ball to Rhode Island defender Jeff Dowtin who fed a pass to Fatts Russell for a "meaningless" basket with 12 seconds left in the game.

Ugh.

TT falls to 4-7.

Final score: 72-68, Temple.

TT falls to 4-8.

Game was tied at 66 with less than 30 seconds left.

We needed a decision in regulation but we didn't need eight points over the game's final 27 seconds, including six points over the last six seconds.

Ugh.

Birdie with a funny line (Cow Pie Central) which I'll add to my EOG glossary while respecting Toby's big-picture record (183-155-7 +27.40 UNITS) in EOG's Best Bet thread.

Tough-to-stomach losses are part of the gambling game.

Sometimes all you can do is to laugh to keep from crying.
