Extended Stay Places In Vegas?

Stay out in Boulder City. Vegas is a dump. Railroad pass remodeled their rooms. They have a William hill out there. It’s nice. You can also go into the main part of town and they have clean weekly rentals. You won’t have to worry about your stuff or any crime.

So extended stay places seem to still cost at least 1k plus a month right? But what about 1/2 bedrooms these days but in decent locations?
Rents have gone crazy as I stated earlier. I have a house that I rent out through a property manager, was going for $995 3 years ago. Property manager got it up to $1195 just before pandemic. It's about to go on the market again as tenant left and property manager is trying to get $1900 for it. So yeah rent for small 3 bd house will double in about 3 years.

I don't think you are going to find the price you want to pay. Vegas real estate market is just crazy and renters are taking it the worst.

Yea i know rent has went up very high.

But what locations in vegas are good if you want to stay there for a few months?

Are there locations where you do not need a car and could literally walk or take public bus though? I heard a while back of locations like spring mountain etc.

i knew real estate prices were going up out there but your story about what your getting in rent is insane. great for your rental income and the appreciation of the property.

Spring Mtn probably the lesser of all evils. Or a place near Westgate in the country club would be ok, but a short term rental may be hard to come by. Places on Paradise are kinda trash, but they aren't the worst. Avoid about a mile east or west of the center Strip, that's ghettoville. Those areas just north of the Palms and anything east of Paradise are the slums of Vegas, but then there is the real ghetto north of downtown, but doubt you are thinking up there. South of Downtown is pretty nice, but not cheap, areas around the Arts District are very nice and already gentrified.

As stated many times it sucks going without a car in Vegas. Can be done of course, but real tough. Occasionally I'll go to Vegas these days and not get a car since rental prices have gone up exponentially, but it limits my choices on who I can see and what I can do and I'm staying on the Strip. I can't imagine doing it for even a week without a car.

Okay so if you are looking to rent a place for 2-3 months, what would be the best option then? And what would be the costs of it? Obviously furnished would be a lot more but if im staying for a short while, obviously i want it furnished.

The thing is it would be hard to keep it around 1000/month or less right? Seem like all those extended stay places charge at least that at the absolute minimum?

Now I will most likely not go this route but what about renting a room from someone? And say it come with its own bathroom? That certainly would cost around 1k or close to it?

If you wanted to rent one of those studios even from those high rise condos like turnberry, allure, those are going to cost you minimum $1400 right? Then factor in electricity and internet and its probably $1500/month at least?

The thing for me is I don't it to be a location far from the strip like henderson or summerlin because i won't have access to a car

So that is why i ask about areas like spring mountain since i remember people said back then... that is close to the strip and you could take bus there as well.

Spring Mtn costs a little more and is a little better than other areas, people want to be close to the Chinatown action. They built some nice apartments just on other side of I-15, but probably quite expensive.

Been a long time since I have been in your spot so not sure what people do in your situation. Doubt you'll have much luck on getting your own place at your budget, if you do get something that price I'd fear for your safety. One option I have used is look on Airbnb for a room and then send them a message asking what they would charge you off the site for 3 months. They probably are the most willing to work with you so if you do a search and its coming out at like $1500/month, ask them if they will do $1000/month for that kind of commitment paying them off the site. Otherwise you are looking for a room on Craigslist or whatever site people are using for rooms for rent these days.

It closed for the pandemic and hasn't reopened. I think the Herbst boys make more money from the gas station on the other side than they ever could from the casino.

went to vegas a last minute thing many moons ago maybe 1990 with a woman and her dog. She had to take it. WTF. That is another topic of pets.. Never booked anything with a pet, got there every casino was sold out. Went to the phones at the barbary coast to find a spot. So i got this place 2 blocks from the stardust for 1 night.. The Blair house. Today it is probably gone. I don't know what vegas is now but I thought vegas could never sell out boy was i wrong.
