you could always look for an Air BNB or Vrbo place. So extended stay places seem to still cost at least 1k plus a month right? But what about 1/2 bedrooms these days but in decent locations?

Rents have gone crazy as I stated earlier. I have a house that I rent out through a property manager, was going for $995 3 years ago. Property manager got it up to $1195 just before pandemic. It's about to go on the market again as tenant left and property manager is trying to get $1900 for it. So yeah rent for small 3 bd house will double in about 3 years. So extended stay places seem to still cost at least 1k plus a month right? i knew real estate prices were going up out there but your story about what your getting in rent is insane. great for your rental income and the appreciation of the property.Rents have gone crazy as I stated earlier. I don't think you are going to find the price you want to pay. Vegas real estate market is just crazy and renters are taking it the worst.
Spring Mtn probably the lesser of all evils. Or a place near Westgate in the country club would be ok, but a short term rental may be hard to come by. Places on Paradise are kinda trash, but they aren't the worst. Avoid about a mile east or west of the center Strip, that's ghettoville. Those areas just north of the Palms and anything east of Paradise are the slums of Vegas, but then there is the real ghetto north of downtown, but doubt you are thinking up there. South of Downtown is pretty nice, but not cheap, areas around the Arts District are very nice and already gentrified.Yea i know rent has went up very high.
But what locations in vegas are good if you want to stay there for a few months?
Are there locations where you do not need a car and could literally walk or take public bus though? I heard a while back of locations like spring mountain etc.

Turnberry Towers not far from Section 8 housing.
It closed for the pandemic and hasn't reopened. I think the Herbst boys make more money from the gas station on the other side than they ever could from the casino.Drove by Jeans 2 weeks ago and no cars in parking lot!! I think they have closed up!! Big sign at Jeans is blank!!
