JIMMYMAC VS. ODDSMAKER DISPUTE: THE VERDICT

Re: JIMMYMAC VS. ODDSMAKER DISPUTE: THE VERDICT

Bonus abuse may be defined as (but not restricted to) clients cashing out for the purpose of redepositing, or referring new accounts that they are using themselves. Sanctions may be in the form of increased rollover requirements or loss of bonus privileges altogether for the offending account as well as any linked accounts.

I wish they had used this paragraph to punish the player. Even asking him to deposit an amount equal to his winnings and enforcing a rollover on that amount would have been a more creative resolution to the conflict. Certainly, he did not abide by the rules, and Shrink was in a tough spot, no one comes out of this situation whole I'm afraid. A free bonus with no deposit is probably not in anyone's best interest either, I'm afraid.

Can't help but think how many hundreds or probably thousands of these "free $500" offers were mailed out.

Oddsmaker seems to have mailed these offers out in an UNSOLICITED manner.

They mailed (or emailed) them to folks on a mailing list they had of high roller losers..

Hoping to catch their hook in a few whales..
Munson,

Oddsmaker is hurting for players with large balances. The big fish have been steering clear of this shop for a good while. These kind of offers are meant to attract dime players.

The irony of this whole fiasco is that the book seems to have a problem with players sharing email.

How do they get players' names? by sharing email.

Most books will honor promotions that were forwarded to them by someone else...FACT! and they appreciate the publicity.

It's up to the book to decide who gets what bonus, but NOT after the fact. The bets from Jimmy that were booked by Oddsmaker are the player's property. The book is just not happy that they sent this bonus to an advantage player. This happens all the time. But 9 times out of 10 they PAY the player before cutting his limits or showing him the door...

Ok, so suppose he didn't know he couldn't fwd it. That email, which I have read, contains one name and one phone number to redeem the bonus. Its very clear. Why didn't they call that? Talk about trying to spin something, anyone who tries to defend that is spinning their wheels without regard for the truth.
was jimmy's dad a customer of oddsmaker?

doesnt matter what number he called...

so long as he is not a customer of oddsmaker.

i remeber grand sports casino or whatever the hell they were called...

they had all kinds of damn numbers...for vip hosts...and this & that...

it was all horseshit...went to the same damn call center.

Re: JIMMYMAC VS. ODDSMAKER DISPUTE: THE VERDICT

SBR had their mind made up before they even knew what happened. I wanted to take the players side and you know first hand how much I care about the player, its simply not possible.

oddsmakers have their rules. Whether Ken or I agree with those rules has no baring on any of this. They are there, they were violated, the decision was made by oddsmaker, the decision was within their rights.
Mo- Oddsmakers rules are vague at best. Basically, if they disagree with something they have to power to do whatever they want. That is basically their rule.

Re: JIMMYMAC VS. ODDSMAKER DISPUTE: THE VERDICT

Actually, it has zero to do with the balance. None. He tried to cheat, oddsmaker gave him the chance to come clean, instead he cursed and told them to close his account, which they could have done without even talking to him at all.

There is no spin. Its very clear. Why call a number other than the one in the email if you think this is ok? Game over.

You tried to cheat.
You lost.
MOFOME, move on from this damn number thing - I could be wrong, but it seems like the number in the email is different from the one posted on www.oddsmaker.com - The father got an email about a site, he clicked on link I am guessing, went to register and seen number on site HOME PAGE, why is this such a big deal for you -

mofo,

quit acting like a tough guy. i love when guys get tough behind the computer. its laughable.

stick to the facts. you keep hanging your hat on my dad calling a different number than the one on the email. that is ridiculous. My old man is not that sophisticated to figure out that maybe if he calls this number they wont know and they will give him the same bonus....

your spinning is just a joke. my god its unreal. can you look in the mirror and really call urself honest???

What? Of course it matters what number was called. Jimmy was not a customer so he called the number in the email. Oddly, after receiving one bonus successfully, and thinking he was doing this all honestly, they went about getting bonus number 2 in a completely different manner.

huh

Re: JIMMYMAC VS. ODDSMAKER DISPUTE: THE VERDICT

Ken should have just said

Oddmaker will not pay, it is their decision, I tried.

Instead he acts like its his decision and Oddsmaker would have paid if he said pay.

That's the funny thing here. He had no decision to make at all. He just had to find a way to agree and make it look good for his sponsor.

Ken really is nobody..

Re: JIMMYMAC VS. ODDSMAKER DISPUTE: THE VERDICT

All Jimmy had to do was admit to trying to cheat and they would have paid him his balance????

That is the biggest crock of shit lie I have read in this thread. They wanted him to admit it so that they had their out for not paying him. You really think they would have paid him but just because he wouldn't admit it they got mad and said NO PAYOUT then? Come on. That is beyond ridiculous... :LMAO

That is the easiest out ever. Admit it and then they say he is bonus abusing. Then if he doesn't admit they say you lied to us so we won't pay. These guys weren't paying no matter what. That is comical to think that is how it went down.

A tough guy? Who have I been tough with? I have not talked tough to anyone and, again, in person I would express the same. Being behind a computer has nothing to do with anything. I'm not a small human being that would be scared to address you honestly in person. Nor would I be anyone else. Another assumption gone wrong.

Not being sophisticated has what to do with it? This was your idea. This unsophisticated man received an email, from you, with one number and one name, why did he not call them? The answer to that is very simple.

shrink,

......your biggest shred of so called evidence seems to be that my dad called a different number than the one on the email. think about it. i email him the information, he sees the name of the company, goes to the site, opens an account and then calls the number on the SITE? why is that so hard to understand?
I'll tell you why. It's because you are a sophisticated gambler who has been involved in this industry for well over 10 years! Most people would have simply called the name and number on the email to see if your Dad qualified if they were being straight forward and completely honest.

Hell, you even stated that your Dad barely knew how to use a computer so you just happen to forward him this bonus offer rather than calling Anthony Stewart on his behalf?

What type of Son are you?

PUHLEEZE!!!!

I don't know of anyone who has been in the industry for 10+ years who would think you weren't trying to be deceptive...

Why is that so hard to understand?

Over 8K? They have paid a single player in excess of 100K over the last 9 months. I have the information needed to make this simple ruling.

Please stop these baseless allegations against the player.

He says he was not trying to abuse the bonus but pass a good deal on to his father. In the absence of PROOF that he had evil intentions, he should be paid. The burden of proof is on Oddsmaker, and they have not even come close to proving his intentions were evil.

Oddsmaker is run by people who have stolen in the past and they will steal again. They have stolen from other players. They have stolen from senior citizens in their prior scam.

How did Oddsmaker decide this was a player worthy of the bonus?

Re: JIMMYMAC VS. ODDSMAKER DISPUTE: THE VERDICT

As of now, 226 posts in this thread.....

Sides agreeing with Oddsmaker: Shrink, Mofome, Blondie, Oddsmaker

Sides agreeing with player: Every other single poster, SBR, Jay C......

Interesting. The part I find also interesting is the people Shrink reached out to for help. Jay C and SBR both agreed with player. OSGA posted an article earlier that they wish both sides could have come to an agreement (basically they were neutral) So Shrink, of these people yu reached out to for help, who sided with oddsmaker other then oddsmaker employees?

Right. Very few reasonable neutral people will side with Oddsmaker. No way in heck. If you poll a bunch of people/gamblers with no bias it would be a landslide victory for the player. What a disgrace.

why is it so hard to believe he looked at the email quickly and went to the website not even seeing the name and number at the bottom of the email. look at the email i posted today again. its in very small print at the bottom. the old man went to the site, opened and account and called the number on the site. that simple.

Now, agreeing with oddsmakers rules is a different thread all together. That is not something we, in arbitration, are at liberty to judge upon. They are their rules, they are written as they wanted them to read. Oddsmaker is not an A+ book, no one is arguing that they are, but they have paid plenty of people off of this same bonus and I do know that 8 dimes is nothing to them. They are aware of the fact that just paying the 8K would be the more lucrative decision for them. They, however, saw this player as dishonest and in that are within their rights to close his account. As they make aparent in their rule book.

More over, the player, in his anger, told them to just close his account. Seemingly admitting defeat and guilt. Throwing in the towel on the scheme, so to speak.

Jimmy, do not waste your time. Mo has VERY LITTLE credibility amongst sharp experienced gamblers (he is not one). He is being paid to bust your balls and defend the company. Ignore him.

You should be paid and almost everyone agrees on that.

This is not an extends commercial, size does not matter here. I am not a small person and there is no chance that I would be scared of you. Most here know that, Im not sure why you went that route, but I don't wish you any harm in the least and have no desire to get in any physical dispute with you.

I would be interested to hear how many people, who received this email, called a number other than the one given. Its not as if its a long email. When being offered something, whether it be in the gambling world or not, you want to read through it to be clear on what you are getting, the strings attached, and the requirements you need to meet.

Again, I tried to reach you, I did send you 2 PMs hoping to hear from you, I am not someone who bullshits or lies to people. I wanted to side with you when I first heard that something was going on. I have been there for the guys for many reasons. Its just seems obvious to me what happened here.

We can meet right now if you live anywhere near Washington or Baltimore.

shrink has accepted 'em here at eog...

they contradict themselves on their rules...

& are so vague...

if you take a payout from horseshit oddsmaker...

&

then reload...

send money back to one's oddsmaker account...

win some more....

they can steal that cash if they want...

just reading this sportsbooks rules is reason enought to kick 'em off eog.

All this stuff about what number the father called is ridiculous.

If he had called the number on the email they would be saying that is proof he was trying to get a bonus not meant for him. Oddsmaker would be saying if he was innocent he would have called the general number.

Shrink, you really need to stop attacking the player here. Stick to the issues.

What PROOF has Oddsmaker presented that he was trying to abuse the bonus system as opposed to passing what he thought was a generous offer on to his father?

Or, the player was so disgusted with the company, he asked them to close his account - Say your out at a bar, you have a bar tab going, the service is just terrible and it takes 20 minutes to get a drink, you have been there for one cocktail so far, you decide it is ridiculous, you let the waiter know about it and ask the waiter to close the bill..... That doesn't mean you don't have to pay for the first round, you still pay for it and leave - So, you trying to justify Jimmy's guilt bc he demanded they'd close his account is ptless and just useless banter.....

Right, Not only have they proven NOTHING but they should pay him anyway as he was sent and offer, then won off that offer. Period. Good stuff JC.

Closing a tab and closing an account are two different things. He was being addressed calmly and, as he changed his story, he was still given the chance to do nothing more than admit his mistake. After all, the truth doesn't change, does it?

You guys can claim to be player advocates all you want but that is not the case. this is a clear cut case and deep down inside you know it. I won that money fair and square.

shrink you told me today it was mostly because of sbr and there negative press that you could not get me paid and now you are trying to paint me out as a liar and a cheater to get the heat off of you.

You would have looked great had you made the right decision here. the only people on your side are the ones working for you. that should tell you enough. You should be calling oddsmaker to work out a mediation like you said you were doing earlier. what happened to asking me if i was willing to make deposits with oddsmaker if this was settled and i said yes and you said you were still working on it. Two hours later your trying to discredit me on the forums to make urself look better.
