Does anyone think or know of Joey get paid a bonus for each time he beats his record? Might be something to think about if all he wants to do each year is beat his record by one.

I would have been interested to see the odds on this. Did Koba just finish or was it earlier?

He did it at the same time but then Eventi just kind of gave up reporting because he didn't beat Chestnut.

They both want 70. 70 is big.

The actual biggest eating competition in America is Wing Bowl in Philadelphia. Chestnut won it in 2008 with 241. After that professionals were banned and the number of wings for the winner fluctuated between 200 and 255. Then in 2012 Kobayashi did it (not sure why he was allowed to participate).

Kobayashi ate 337.

There is a great doc online on competative eating that features Kobi. Great insight onto what he does to take in 20k in calories. Youtube it.
