Rand Paul Calls on Conway to apologize for attacks on his religious beliefs: “Have you no shame?”

Here is video of Kentucky GOP Senate candidate Rand Paul flatly saying he would refuse to shake hands with Democrat opponent Jack Conway at the end of their debate yesterday, because of Conway’s venomous attack ad that called into question Paul’s belief in the Bible and genuineness of his Christian faith. The ad (see below) bases the attacks on unsubstantiated allegations against Paul from his college days, all of which Paul denies.
“I will not shake hands with someone who attacks my religion, and attacks my Christian beliefs.”
It shows just how desperate Jack Conway is that he would run an ad like this. He knows he is losing, and is throwing the kitchen sink at Paul in hopes something will stick.

Rand Paul is out with a new ad responding to Conway’s attacks:

Score another one for the Tea Party, and Rand Paul may well have delivered the acceptance speech of the night. Courtesy of our own Greg Hengler, who clips this from MSNBC, Paul delivers the message that the faithful in the movement longed to hear tonight. He tells his supporters that American exceptionalism is not inherent from geography but only applies to the extent that we ?embraced freedom,? Paul promises that he will ensure a return to self-governance and a focus on the individual over the State:

Great to see a true patriot and man of honor triumph over a sleaze bag progressive like Klein.

Congressman Allen West reminds of Captain Ronald Speirs in Band of Brothers -- a LEADER of men. It is written all over him. He is intelligent... sharp as a tack. I cannot adequately explain just how much I admire this man and what he did in Iraq. If I were a soldier, I'd have been honored to be "one of his".

I can't wait to hear his speeches on the House floor. His voice surely will be one of the most critical of the Kenyan.

He would make a great Speaker.
