I'm listening to the Beating the Book podcast, and Chris Andrews just said Aaron Donald and Mack were worth the most as defensive players and that J.J. Watt was on the downside.
Really? Yes, Donald leads the NFL in sacks with 8. Watt on the downside? He's up to 4th in the league with 7 sacks. Mack? He's down to tied for 16th. Granted, Mack wasn't 100% in his last game but the idea that the public only remembers what it sees last doesn't seem to hold. I believe the public gets married to perceptions and holds on to them too long.
