When my father died I paid for his funeral. My mother is on medicaid and in assisted living.
My father in law has already passed, when my mother in law passes my wifes share will be left to our daughter. That is being done at my wife and I's request.
It makes no sense unless the funds are needed for a 80 year old person to die and leave money to a 60 year old person.
Every time funds are left via death it creates delay and cost, so we shall be skipping a generation.
