NBA eyes Raptors' Jontay Porter for betting issues...

Here we go again...it is funny how a player with a 2 way contract has the most action on player props on a few games.

Two games the unders were hit hard on points, rebounds and assists. On both he left the game early. One for a eye problem, other sick.

Books were reporting on one game against Clippers bettors trying to get down for 5 to 10k on his props 🤔

Where was U.S. Integrity when we needed them?

Don’t look good for Jontay…..

Yep, you can persuade a guy on a two way deal.

Re Clipper game:

"The next day, as part of a daily report to users on betting results, DraftKings Sportsbook stated that the under on Porter's 3-pointers was the biggest money winner for bettors of any NBA player props from games that evening."

"Toronto Raptors center Jontay Porter owned and operated a VIP account at FanDuel in Colorado that wagered millions of dollars in total from 2021 to 2023, multiple sources with direct knowledge told the Action Network.

One of those sources said FanDuel did not accept any wagers on the NBA or college basketball from Porter, whose brother, Michael Porter Jr., is a pivotal member of the Denver Nuggets team that won the NBA championship in 2023.

Porter allegedly placed over 1,000 wagers at the sportsbook. “He was firing all of the time,” a source said."

Lifetime ban for sure...no doubt he manipulated his props. Just because he wasn't allowed to bet basketball doesn't mean anything. Other books, beards...based on the activity, he got down with other(s).

I guess the good news for him is he's now free to bet on anything he wants with no repercussions

Apparently he owed millions to his bookies and was encouraged to guarantee prop losses to help with that, getting $250K each time . then some buddy of his who was facilitating the scam was texting people he knew to get in on the sure thing - these are dumb people we're dealing with.

I laughed my ass off looking at some of his highlights re games in question. In one game, his rebounding prop was 5.5 he had already accumulated '5'. So when a rebound came his direction before half he swatted the ball with the back of his hand making it look inadvertent so he wouldn't get credit for a rebound.

Ahhh, the pitfalls of legal wagering.

i don't think legal books are credit... so it had to be the under world or the go between then the prop bets could very well be legal

It almost had to be because he was in a hole. He made a little over $21k betting the NBA, throwing a NBA career out the window, not to mention nobody will touch him overseas.

The other Porter brother (Coban) was sentenced to 6 years in prison for a fatal DUI crash… talk about a rough week for the Porter’s!!!!
