Re: Nelson Mandela

I always assumed in his heart he held a great deal of pain and maybe even hate.

But he was able to keep that inside and understand that what a few men did to him who happened to be white did not mean that all or even the majority of all white men were evil.

Re: Nelson Mandela

Fuck him.

Mandela was a member of the South African Communist Party and a co-founder of Umkhonto we Sizwe, a guerrilla warfare group declared a terrorist organization by the United States in the 1960s.

A black liberal comunist and people cheer him here. What a shock. Another one that tries to pose under the "equality" banner yet Karl Marx was his idol.

Who cares who his idol was? Mandela was a great man, and revolutionary leader, because he was capable of throwing his animosity/opinions to the side for the betterment of his society.

An excerpt from a great piece on Mandela in the WSJ:

The bulk of his adult life, Nelson Mandela was a failed Marxist revolutionary and leftist icon, the Che Guevara of Africa. Then in his seventies he had the chance to govern. He chose national reconciliation over reprisal, and he thus made himself an historic and all too rare example of a wise revolutionary leader.

When Mandela took power he could have done what every leader prior to him did - killed/harmed took rights away from those who did not agree with him - but he did not. He worked on bringing people together, as opposed to forcing his views onto others.

It really takes a shitty and horrible person to blast Mandela. Someone who spent 27 years in prison, but did not hold a grudge or take out his pain on those who caused it. Mandela was about peace in the face of adversity - he was about equality, and togetherness. Regardless of whether I believe with his political allegiances early on in his life (it took extremes to get things done in that country, as most revolutions require), it's nearly impossible to argue with his stance and beliefs in life:

"I have fought against white domination and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But, if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die."

If you think there is something wrong with that dream and hope, then you are a hopeless human being.

Mandela acted poorly in response to his beliefs and need for equal rights as a young man. What separates Mandela is he sat in a jail cell for 27 years, and came out a peaceful man with ideals of hope and opportunity.

In closing, I will steal this quote from that same article as it puts it better than I could:

Mandela became the biggest of African men by refusing to act like a typical African "Big Man." He transcended his party's history of Marxism, tribalism and violence. The continent and world were fortunate to have him.

Re: Nelson Mandela

Oh and RIP to a great man. A man who fought for what he believed in, but in a peaceful way. If more countries had leaders like Mandela, the world would be a much better place.

Re: Nelson Mandela

i still don't know why apartheid didn't put one in his head.

Because apartheid is not a person. Its a system that LEGALLY separates races. Similar to the railroad tracks where I grew up. Blacks lived on one side of the tracks and whites lived on the other, If blacks could not legally live on the other side that would have been apartheid.

mandela ran south africa into the ground. South Africa's Tragedy: Apartheid Replaced with...

Mandela's first official acts was to legalize prostitution. Now, STDs are rampant there.
Another of Mandela's ‘brilliant’ moves: He freed hardened criminals on the pretense they had been imprisoned for political reasons. Now, crime is not the fastest growing industry there; it's the ONLY industry that is growing. Of course, you read nothing about this in the U.S. newspapers. For, they were a part of the international movement to "end apartheid," and implement "majority rule."

Fuck Liberals and fuck their idols (Mandela), fuck their goofy beliefs (global warming) and fuck their political obsessions (Obama Karre). They danced on air when Reagan died. Have no respect or humanity for people who don't share their secular, socialist views then go nuts if everyone doesn't bow down to theirs.

Fuck that monkey Mandela. He gone. Michigan State rolls Saturday!

Martin Luther King was an important historical figure and definitely left a great legacy but it is nauseating how he is worshipped like God. Martin Luther King Day needs to have an expiration date. The only 'man' who should be worshipped is Jesus. The latter, Liberals are trying to white out. The former will continue to be worshipped 100 years from now.
