New Circa sports book to open @ 8:00 am Saturday June 1, 2019 in the Golden Gate casino in downtown Las Vegas

No vig sports bets one day only. One limit bet per game allowed. $5000.00 limit on baseball, $10,000 limit on Game 3 of Stanley Cup Final, and $20,000 limit on Soccer (I believe applies only to Champions League Championship game).

They are also boasting of a $1,000,000 guaranteed pro football contest, $1000.00 buy in with no takeout and $50,000 quarterly bonus for leader at each quarter of contest. I believe numbers go up on Thursday 10:00 am of contest week and picks are due at 3:00 pm on Saturday. Picks can also be submitted by app while in State of Nevada or in person.

In my opinion, this Circa contest will begin or accelerate the downhill slide of the Westgate Sportsbook (i.e. 8 % take out on contest, Station Casino like money lines, loss of free publicity from ESPN with ESPN's deal with Caesars, etc.) unless Westgate changes its ways to meet the competition from Circa (unlikey with current ownership).

I think everyone should boycott the westgate in lieu of the Circa contest. I will have my runner sign up. They should have a college one also.

Just a guess, but besides holding your money for as long as 10 months and earning interest on it while your not, Westgate may have sensed that the new book at Circa would have a rival NFL season long contest (I'm probably giving them too much credit, here).

Thus, they moved up the the opening date for signing up for their contest, so they could grab the money before Circa could with a superior contest (also to get dead money from the March Madness crowd -- mrbowling300, not implying your dead money).

When Westagte opens in the northeast they, will make a lot more than Circa.

I think they will be in a few states.

They will have a very big contest too.

They are not worried.

Mike Palm has said on a few of his vsin appearances that they expect this contest to have an overlay. Expecting to take a loss this first year running it.

Good things are happeneing in las vegas.

Competition is a good thing.

If it is, this is a really good play, and will have many, many people with multiple entries, some with numerous...……….even if not, there will still be some with numerous entries.

Looks incredible. If Circa wants to gain even more "Brownie Points" they can VALIDATE PARKING! If you spend "X" amount at the book they will validate your parking. Either that or have a place where we can park for 30 minutes, or so, for free so we can run into the book, make our bets, then leave.

If they VALIDATE parking they will find they will more than make it up as far as revenue generated from guests staying longer because of it

I think Plaza had free parking for 90 mins dont know if it still does.
The hotels Ive stayed at downtown were free parking because I was staying there.

I always visit the coffee shop when I'm in Vegas and play craps there and noticed they started charging for parking a few years back but they validate at a booth near the entrance to the parking garage.

1.25m will be paid out to the top 10. 250k is for the quarterly 50k winners. Any money over the 1500 entries w be added to the quarterly winners prize pool.

Didnt know there were unlimited entries which makes things easier to hit the number for break even.

After I left the garage, I remember thinking to myself that I probably could have gotten the ticket validated. It also took a long time getting out of the garage too. Traffic on the street that the ramp exits to was backed up, so there was like only one or two cars at a time able to get onto the street. The Plaza had valet parking, but only through 9pm.

FREE with slot card OR if you're over 50

Always spaces available and quick, quick access directly into the casino.

Entries are capped at 3 per entrant. It won't take much to get to 1500 to cover the guaranteed prize pool.

Derek Stevens (the owner) mentioned on the VSIN show "Betting Across America" on Sunday morning that they (Circa) took a beating - - all the money on the Bruins in hockey, the bettors had the right side on the soccer game, and in baseball the book won the Twins game and then lost the next 9 baseball games. He said it was interesting to have action on all the games, implying, except for rare occasions (every first round game of the NCAA Basketball Tournament), that of course he doesn't as a bettor.

He has said previously that he has always wanted to run (own) a sports book. Now he does (own it -- doesn't run it, but I'm sure he has input).

Let’s try and keep this less about parking and more about the book and contest.

I want to enter the contest but don’t live in Vegas. Is there any way around this without using a proxy?

That sucks but understandable. I assume a proxy is allowed though? Any issues with the sportsbooks or is it just one of those unwritten and accepted things?
