Huh, they're not getting shutout, they're shutting europe out.
That big drop is just in the last month or 2, europe should be filling their reserves getting ready for winter now - russia is cutting back on deliveries to block that, so come fall into winter europe will be in a world of hurt. Demand will be high while reserves will be way too low., it's going to be glorious.

You need to get up to speed, it's the US that has destroyed any trust in the dollar and western financial systems. Think about what WE did, we basically stole hundreds of billions from the russians, do you think other countries dont see that? NO ONE will trust our institutions again.
Russia is NOT defaulting - they are being prevented from paying because we've frozen/stolen their money and are stopping them from transferring any funds. Oh well.
The new non dollar international trade system is already being set up - india is now paying for russian goods with chinese yaun - the first time ever they haven't used the normal dollar exchanges.
Sanctions are going to permanently destroy the dollar dominated world, it's the dumbest thing we've ever done.
No nation in the world who values independence and imagines themselves at some point being against US policy on any issue can trust the international financial system ever again. You simply cant have a situation where one country steals the money of another.
