Just to divert away from race bating topics, any of u Raider fans planning a Vegas trip to tour the new stadium here is a v ideo about best steak prices in LV. I expect Brock Landers will be all over this if he still follows EOG. Its hard to find buffets which makes this more useful.

Why Are There So Many
Misconceptions About Angels?
The study of angels can bring great benefits. Among them is the clearing up of misconceptions that people hold about them. Unfortunately, the misconceptions are many. Why is this so? Why do people seem to have so many wrong ideas about angels?
The reasons for certain misconceptions about angels can be attributed to the following.
1. There Is The Rejection Of The Supernatural
Often the subject of angels is ignored or misunderstood because of the rejection of the supernatural. Since the existence of God is rejected, the existence of angels is likewise rejected. Those who do not accept the Bible as God’s Word are not going to turn to Scripture to discover anything about angels. They assume that angels do not exist. Therefore, they go through life with the misconception that angels, as the Bible portrays them, are mythical creatures.
2. There Is Ignorance Of Scripture
Ignorance of what the Bible says on the subject of angels also leads to misconceptions. Though many people may accept the fact that angels do indeed exist, they have not turned to the Scripture to find out who they are, and what they can and cannot do. Personal experiences and fanciful stories replace what God has said on the subject. This leads to a variety of misconceptions about these angelic beings.
3. There Is Superstition And Fear Of The Unknown
Consequently the subject of angels is often treated with superstition and fear. This can lead to all types of strange beliefs and behavior with respect to angels. People can give undue adoration, prayer, and even worship to these created spiritual beings.
The remedy for these problems is simple: one must turn to the pages of Scripture to discover what God has to say on the subject rather than looking to other sources of information on these heavenly beings.
The Bible encourages people to study the Scriptures and test the spirits. Paul wrote.
Test all things; hold fast what is good (1 Thessalonians 5:21 NKJV).
John declared that we are to test the spirits. He said.
Dear friends, don’t believe all people who say that they have the Spirit. Instead, test them. See whether the spirit they have is from God, because there are many false prophets in the world (1 John 4:1 God’s Word).
Therefore a careful study of the Word of God will clear up these and other misconceptions about angels.
In sum, there is no reason for any of us to have misconceptions about angels. Indeed, the true facts about them are found in the pages of the Bible.
