Anyone here see it? What did you think? Many people seem to like it. On Amazon Prime now after a short run in the theaters. I am asking for a reason.

Good movie but not great. Acting was good but not great. Don’t see it winning any best movie awards or best actor/actress awards. My .02 cents….

Its not entirely accurate
Seriously this is your take?
There has never been a movie made from a real story that didn't take some liberties to make the story more entertaining.

What movie is the most accurate that you have seen in your lifetime?

Even the passion of christ had some inaccurate moments lol

Was ok. A lot of the same tired and true cliché music that's been used in numerous movies/tv shows over the yrs.

The last 30 minutes it kind of fizzles out.

Still an above average movie.

Does Matt Damon play Vacarro, Sonny?
Yes. Which brings me to why i started this thread. i gave it 24 hours to see if anyone else brought it up.

In the first five minutes of the movie they are trying to convey to the viewer that Sonny Vaccaro knows all about basketball players from the high school level all the way to the NBA.

So in the scene they make it clear that it is 1984 and he is betting at the Dunes Sports book in Vegas. He bets 5 player props (wins them all of course) and the Lakers in the third quarter. One big problem with that is Player Props didn't exist in 1984 and you also could not bet third quarters in the NBA.

Yes, i know it is the way these kind of movies are made but it still drives me crazy to see stuff like this.

Got me thinking. Wasn't the 86 Bears Super Bowl one of the first Player Props? Will William Perry score a Touchdown?

After that each Super Bowl then started to have more and more player props.

Does anyone remember when Player Props started to become available to play on a regular basis?

The William Perry prop was offered at Caesars Palace IIRC.

After that Isn't Jay Kornegay then at Imperial Palace took the ball and ran with it and started putting up more and more props on the Super Bowl?

I believe that Caesars was the 1st property that offered player props because I was watching the game at Caesars Tahoe Sportsbook & when William Perry scored late in the game the place went nuts.
