Two simple things every sportsbook should offer

And yet many dont...

1. A search function. I looked at my CO books, 15 of them, I see 6 of them have a search box. Seriously WTF? I'm lazy, I'd rather not wade through 30 games to find the one I want to bet when its a busy day of action. Is this really the oh lets make them see everything and they might bet more games than planned strategy?
2. Give me the option of either inputting the amount bet or amount I want to win. Another ridiculously simple request, yet only 8 have this too. Why do I have to break out my calculator online to make a bet? Another hope for me to bet more than I was planning? I don't know about you guys but if I want to win $200 on a bet I don't know off the top of my head how much I have to bet on a +137 dog to get my desired bet in.

Its goddamn 2021 and these are simple tech issues. How in the hell can't these be industry-standard practices?

And here's an improvement I'd like to see with betting kiosks: Why not allow the bettor to insert multiple bills at the same time instead of inserting one bill at a time?

I can deposit 50 bills at a time using the ATM at my bank.

As WildBill mentioned, it feels like a simple tech issue.

One other note: Why are sports book tellers always investigating your $100 bills coming in, yet they're never concerned about the $100 bills going out?

enough ticket writers -mind boggling that some places do not.
An example of an understaffed Sportsbook is The Boulder Station Sportsbook and their Race book is worse.
Memo to Boulder Station: Not allowing gamblers to be shut out should be a priority! (no brainer )
An example of a place that is always properly staffed is Southpointe.

I didn't think about this but you are right, ATMs are fantastic these days with their ability to deposit cash or checks and dispense cash in any denomination. Time to get that tech to the sportsbooks. I know the kiosks are still relatively slow in coming to Vegas, no excuse for that, especially on busy event days.

Books like Fanduel and their new software sucks too. I will say depositing and withdrawing is on point at a good majority of legal books. We've come a long way from waiting weeks for checks from offshore.

Just think if it wasn't for a "Ports Act" we never would have had to go through all that misery. Neteller was all we needed to avoid getting checks from obscure companies or having to send money at a Western Union to a Jose in Nicaragua.

Totally agree, the UIGEA was attached to the end of the "Ports Act", I believe it passed the Senate by unanimous consent with one senator in attendance. Forced Neteller to close all American accounts and gave birth to the multitude of goofball ways around the US banking system.

Legislative politics at its best. Attached completely unrelated language that no one reads to a bill and then watch it sail through.

if they had a sports book debit card would be nice until the digital dollar comes in which is not too far away. Things will really change then since the gov't will be able to track where every dollar goes

Wild Bill or anyone else who can answer. Some of these legal books do something i can't figure out. Rivers for sure does it. Example: Mets are minus 150. i wager $150 to win 100. But it comes out to win $100.50 Anybody know?

Points bet does it also. The small change is always in the players favor but i can't figure it out. Unlike the off shore place years ago who's owner use to take the change left on ones balance everyday.

Yeah they don't advertise it but it is rounded down to your favor. Like if you want to bet to win $100 on -114, its like $113.64 or some random amount. Pointsbet is weird, sometimes it does that, sometimes it doesn't and I can't figure out why. But DraftKings, Rivers and now TwinSpires all have the same slightly tweaked math and at least here all have the same lines. Only reason to keep all three is they have different bonuses, and quite a few.

Funny you mention this and I went to make a totals bet at SportsBetting and realized they were taking a few pennies more from me. That's a shit book now that they offer almost no promos anymore. So I gave up a little of my savings from a bet I made with DK. I have no idea how this crazy software is all different for sports books and doesn't do just calculator math for our bets.
