He and Mr Gaughan were always hospitable. I'd come with a group of friends from La, who were living in LA working for Texaco. We'd show up smashed after a bender, to the Victorian Room for that great Cantonese and Steaks. Don gladly signed my override food comp in a big way..and laughed it off. Great guy trained in the old school way under the Gaughans, Pittsburgh Jack, Jimmy, Chris, Art,etc..
