Tampa, Oaklawn, Gulfstream make for a fun afternoon
Forecast for Hallandale Beach says 90% chance of thunderstorms. That will likely keep me off Gulfstream. Tampa about 40% chance of rain.
I'm a lifetime horseplayer.
But frankly, I've enjoyed a break from the ponies.
Eager to see live horse racing action when the country re-opens.
Great time to reorganize the sport and make the presentation more palatable.
Maybe two simulcast feeds, A and B, splitting up the major tracks and minor tracks based on parimutuel handle.
Just a thought.
I'd love to see a race every 5 or 10 minutes.
Nothing worse than two or three races being contested simultaneously.
Horse racing needs an air traffic controller.
Day was a legend.
I remember spending some time at Oaklawn many years ago. Mike Smith, Calvin Borel and Garrett Gomez were well back in rider standings behind Day.
Don't tell anyone but I landed on Arazi at odds of 9/10 after A.P. Indy was scratched the morning of the race.
Before the race, The New York Times labeled Arazi "magical and mythical."
The start of fake news?
got incredibly luck the last two days hitting ridiculous tris and superfectas ( I don't play many of those)
just taking some random picks from a few of the experts on the youtube show I watch.
3 straight days winning total.
total beginners luck. I'll prob never experience those highs again, and I'm addicted for life.
just great
Arazi was typical overhype. As great as he looked in the Breeders Cup Juvenile, he only made one start as a 3 YO before the Derby. If I remember correctly, it was a 5 horse field vs allowance level horses on grass in France. He got nothing out of the race. Now every trainer undertrains their horses but back then, if you didn't have at least 3 preps, you weren't sharp enough to get it done in the Derby. Always fade hype.
