One question and just one...
Let's say a shit book like Olympic decides to screw an F1 player. The player reports the incident to one of the three members of the "Alliance" like TOW for example. TOW does a nice job of investigating and sides with the player. Olympic turns around and says so what, our decision stands.
In this scenario would ALL 3 members of the "Alliance" then stand up to the shit book and say, "Hey you can't treat a player like that". And would ALL 3 members of the "Alliance" then suspend the advertising of the shit book?
Anything less would just expose the "Alliance" as a paper tiger that is not willing to support players but more than willing to accept the advertising dollars of shit books.

Look guys we love forums, we love talking sports, gambling, ect..however while Shirk and the boys may occasionally aid players in getting fair treatment and what not..the true movers and shakers offshore barely know of the Shrink , General, ect, and those that do, view them a very small pieces to the big puzzle..With that being said its great that this industry if so lucrative that even forum owners, and workers can make a comfortable living.

yes, they are talking about the same book and that was one post.
The alliance will have NO power over the big books and they will not stand together. Their allegiance is stronger to the individual book in question rather than this smoke screen alliance.
Of course if it's a crap book they may all get together and slap each other on the ass for getting a problem solved.
If the book in question is an advertising book from one of the sites then that site will decide what's best for themself and not the alliance.
If it's a big book the alliance isn't going to stick it's neck out when they know nothing can be done. It just makes them look bad in the eyes of the book and also the player because he won't be helped.
Every time the Super Heroes get together we hear this same mushy mushy crap until the first problem occurs with a book and then the forum wars are on again.

The alliance will work together in areas of common agreement which there are many.
As to sportsbook ratings and the like, I agree with the posters that a difference of opinion is both healthy and needed. There is a degree of checks and balances that occurs when one site knows they will be criticized by their competitors if they take on shady books.
We can work together at things like changing unfair practices such as unfairly changing the terms of a bonus rollover. This was our first try.
Plus, I enjoy working with the new sober Ken and I think its a worthy investment of time.

If this is a supposed alliance you are only as good as your "best" shit book.
Basically this is the best way for you all to somehow lower the public perception as a collective. One on one you each have 1(or more) SHIT books advertising on your respective sites. So as a whole you stillhave 4-5 or more collectively, but in comparison to the "worst" the others don't seem that bad.

Try getting back 5 and sometimes 6 figure stiff jobs for these people sometime at these so called "solid" "reformed" dumps.
I said it a long time ago, the laces that actually don't need to advertise don't care ifthey do. And they certainly do not cave to extortion or threats like most of the shitty ones do.
Case in point is Olympic. They had some sort of "ruling" made against them. What good did it do? Not one bit.
Is that good or bad? Can't really say. I didn't think what they did was right, but I surely did think some Mickey Mouse jury made up of a bunch of drunken idiots ruling against them was any better.

There are VERY FEW people who are unbiased, or don't have anything to gain from the opinions they give or the things that they say. In the end it doesn't really matter who advertises here. After all you are the one who has to live with the decisions you make, and if people get hurt from playing at books you recommend, it surely won't be the first time.

The bottomline is I liked you better at the RX at least there you weren't pretending or claiming to be something you aren't. It would be a lot more easy to take if you just came right out and said..."hey I am in it for the money". You might actually get a little more respect. Nice post Raiders, and Want, just spill it out there bro. I will Evelyn Speed read if it is lengthy. I am still on volume #2 of 8 Gibbon's The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire. So your posts are easy reading. But both quality posts. The F1 reminder pretty much said what the watchdogs are able to do. They growl and bark, make mean faces. If you stand up they runaway. These dogs have no bite. Without that they are all bark, and everyone knows it. There are certain books that will cower to the barking, but many will just laugh. It is all one big party, and all of the members are following the pied piper. It is a great thing this new alliance we have.

My "naivite'" in that so called "bookmaking" thread was nothing of the sort. I was stating what TRUE bookmaking is, you others were relaying what this bastardized stuff they call bookmaking offshore is. If more books actually employed true bookmaking methods they wouldn't all be getting bought out, and every year around February people wouldn't be shittuing their pants hoping the place they have money doesn't go belly up.
As for the "other" books you "wouldn't let" advertise here. My only comment to that is, the site is less than a year old give it time.
Forgetting what I look like...perfect. Will be good to know if I ever decide to rob a bank, a face people love to forget. But as for "knowing" you. I have seen your act for about 10 years now so it isn't any great revelation those things I mentioned. I am pretty sure 99% of the people that really do KNOW you would agree. Not sure they are even allthat negative.
The "offshore watchdog world". Give me 5 minutes south of the border and I wil probably know just about as much as you guys think you know. Hell TOW was an expert 2 minutes after he got there. How he has become a mouthpiece for people is beyond me. He butted his nose into someone's business at the RX and now he is a watchdog? Gimme a break.

But as far as on the internet it was in late 97 when I first oepned an accuont up. While I may not be some self proalimed insider, or use the predictable arguments you use. I have utilized them long nough, read and seen MORE than enough, and watched WAY TOO MANY of these places fold.
I truly hope you are not claiming to be an expert yourself. Because if so I dont like your credentials. If I had 1/10 of what has been lost, stolen, embezzled, whatever from every place you said was run by "a decent bunch of guys who had deep pockets blah blah blah. I would never have to place another bet again.

the Tej family of casino/books business model has made it painfully clear that these forum sites have no power over companies who choose to ignore them. How many times Tej casinos have been dragged through forum hell and yet they keep going strong? The only reason why books with questionable past comes to forums is for a quick wash. Whenever they get too dirty they do a "mia culpa" on one or more forums and all is well again. There is no way in hell that books hang banners here to drive significant traffic to their sites. This and other forums are sales tools for books, they tell potential clients to "check us out on EOG", or, ?you will not find any complaints about us on EOG". How long was BOS out of forums before their immaculate reincarnation? Did they suffer during that time, no, they went public. The way i see it, forums need advertisers much more than advertisers need forums.

Wanti, I can attest from experience that we have helped a lot of players without a threat of any kind for huge money. I have used kindness and professionalism to handle pay disputes for years now, never extorting anyone.
WT, advertising mediums are getting harder to find. A lot of books love to be on forums and yes, they do get very good business from some forums. We obviously had talks about this last week with bookmakers.
