Kudos to Derek Jeter's Miami Marlins. Given up for dead (literally, from the perpetually fearful) with SEVENTEEN players having the Rona, the team is atop the NL East with a 7-1 record. This was a team projected to be dead last in the NL East.
Contrast this with the Cardinals. 9 currently Covid positive, although its been 6-7 most of the time since July 29, the last time they played. The Marlins went 8 days without playing. The Cardinals will be at 11 after tomorrow.
Not much from the MSM over the fact the Marlins haven't dropped dead. You can either live your life, or hide in your basement cowering in fear.

What the Marlins have done so far is nothing short of amazing, they've been on the road since the season started, half their team was sent back to Miami due to the virus, they've got guys pitching for them that I've never heard of, and they just keep winning, at some point they'll fall back to earth, but Mattingly deserves a ton of credit for keeping the team together and focused in what has been a crazy start to their season

They each got billions, much of it still unspent, they should be able to manage a meager $100/week extra, and if they dont want to the best way to get through it is to open up their economies so less people are on unemployment.
Govt forced these mass layoffs, which by and large have accomplished nothing, they reverse their policies and 50-75% could go back to work immediately.

Even up here it's not getting cold for another 2 months. It's not the heat or the cold, it's people being inside and the virus blowing around. it certainly appears that pretty much every state will face a surge lasting maybe 2 months. This current southern surge is fading fast, after this there wont be any more big population states to get hit.
