You're right kane. Mike + the Mechanics consisted of Paul Carrack, Adrian Lee, Peter Van Hooke, and Mike Rutherford.

I know Peter Criss was the singer for KISS' most commercially successful song Beth. Grand Funk Railroad's drummer was the lead singer also.

I think they were playing at casinos.

I had to look up the drummer's name - Peter Rivera from Rare Earth was a heck of a singer. I saw them as they opened the Hard Rock here. They were the most successful white act on the Motown label. I just remember doing shots with him after the show.
