EOG is proud to present its Nine Lives March Madness Contest sponsored by Skybook.com.

Contest Format

The format for the competition is simple. Each contestant will select nine NCAA Tournament teams. Contestants will be asked to select a #1 seed, a #2 seed, a #3 seed and so on until the contestant lists eight teams all told. The contestant will then select a ninth team (hence the promotion's name Nine Lives) from seeds nine through 16.

The scoring of the competition is straightforward. Contestants will receive contest points corresponding to the seed numbers of their nine teams. For instance, if Kentucky is a #1 seed and wins its opening-round game, the contestant will receive only one point. But if an #8-seeded team wins its opening-round game, the contestant will receive eight points.

The contestant with the most points at the end of the tournament will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie, the contestant with the most victories during the event will be declared the winner. In the event of a new tie following the first tie-breaker, the winner will be the contestant who funded the Skybook account earliest between the dates of February 27[SUP]th[/SUP], and March 15[SUP]th[/SUP] – the entry deadline date.

Re: Announcing EOG's Nine Lives Contest sponsored by Skybook.com

The maximum withdrawal product of contest winnings cannot exceed two (2) times the amount of the original prize awarded.

How is that money seperated from the money that a person deposits? Say i have my 200 in there and win 250 in the contest and then hit a parlay 100 to win 5000. Would they say i only win 500 bucks on that or would they say that was my cash balance and i get the whole thing?

Re: Announcing EOG's Nine Lives Contest sponsored by Skybook.com

Excellent question. Contest winnings will be accredited into a separate balance. Once the designated rollover is achieved your earnings may be moved into your regular balance from where withdrawals or further gaming activity may emanate. Similar would happen with any winnings product of your participation in their Brackets Contest. I hope this helps answer your question, but if not, please feel free to respond for more information.

Re: Announcing EOG's Nine Lives Contest sponsored by Skybook.com

That was the line that really caught my eye too, brick.

Skybook is owned by Phoenix so they have the cb (bonus account) function where they could put any winnings in a separate account for you, but this is still concerning.

So if, hypothetically speaking, I get first and win a $750 free play, I not only have to roll over my free play winnings 5x, but if I do so I can only cash out $1500.

This sounds like a really, really fun contest...an idea I've honestly never heard of before and I'm not shy to admit I've participated in quite a few contests over the years...but I really would like to see that rule reconsidered.

And btw, I'm a lock to send money to Skybook if that rule were to get removed. I've had an account there for years, enjoyed playing there when I was funded, but just went bust a while back and haven't bothered reloading.

Re: Announcing EOG's Nine Lives Contest sponsored by Skybook.com

The trade-off we accepted was a larger prize pool and a lower rollover requirement in exchange for the max cashout stipulation. Take home up to $1,500 in cash, claim up to 50% in a deposit bonus, receive a free half point on your college straight wagers, a free entry into their March Madness bracket contest....excellent deal in my opinion. Hope you will participate W2W!

Re: Announcing EOG's Nine Lives Contest sponsored by Skybook.com

Definitely a generous offer, I don't mean to make it sound like it's not. Contests are hard to come by these days so I appreciate any book willing to do one.

But $750 prize pool with no max cashout is better than a $1500 prize pool with a 2x max cashout, for the record.

I'd rather take a $300 free play and know I'm not gonna get cut off if I hit a couple parlays than take $1000 and get told I can't run it above $2000 or I won't get paid, but maybe that's just me. Something to keep in mind for the future, anyway.

I will play and redeposit into skybook next week. I will send more than the minimum too.

Can we get a bonus if we received payouts from the older skybook a few years ago?

This is the exact same book as before with Rio right? so I would use the same account number and such correct?

Re: Announcing EOG's Nine Lives Contest sponsored by Skybook.com

Re: Announcing EOG's Nine Lives Contest sponsored by Skybook.com

PO69: Yes. Skybook (originally located in Margarita Island Venezcuela) was acquired by Rio Sportsbook circa the year 2002, and subsequently relocated to Costa Rica.

You should have no problem using the same account from before but if you do have any issues, a quick call to their customer service department should get you going quickly. Their number is 888-759-2665.

As far as welcome and reload bonuses, they have several March Bonus Deposit Specials for you to choose from. Please visit http://www.skybook.com/sportsbook/bonuses for information.

Re: Announcing EOG's $1500 Nine Lives Contest sponsored by Skybook.com!

I remember back in the thrilling days of Fezzdaq yesteryear, we had an account at Skybook.

After I opened it, some gal called up gushing with thanks to welcome me and to let me know that if I needed anything to call her.

LOL. Well that lasted about 15 minutes before I got a message about no more Internet bets. I'd have to call in everything. So you would call in a game for a line and they would hold a group meeting to decide what to quote you five minutes later trying to outguess you..

So I call them up portraying the bepuzzled customer. Why is this? Through persistence, I got through to a supervisor, and he let me have it.

"YOU"RE NOT THE KIND OF CUSTOMER WE WANT! WE AREN"T GOING TO LET YOU SIT THERE ALL DAY AND PICK OFF SOFT LINES!

I couldn't tell them it was Fezzik's fault. So I, as only the piano player, simply took the scolding.

Ironically, I think we lost there anyway.

Half a decade later, Skybook is no doubt much more amenable to its clientele. You may have a casino host calling you.

If they accept Mastercard deposits I will get in this.

In this format much, much more emphasis on correctly picking your lower seeds. Correctly picking your 8 seed to win just one game is more valuable than picking a 1 seed that wins the championship.

You can use your MC but only via a person to person money transfer. I'll PM information on this process.

Wait a minute.

I thought from Fishead proclaiming that he was leaving forever less than a month ago that he was gone forever.

I'm sure not going to hammer him. He's a huge asset to EOG ( if there are huge assets to EOG).

Welcome back, Fish, even if it was greed that might have brought you back whether than the provoking gambling thought here.
