NYC asked all active supervisors to have mandatory retraining for all active members of each district and would review all current complaints against each and every officer. Specifically protest tapes from street cams will also be reviewed internally.

NYPD union president announced at 10 pm eastern that 800 officers throughout the city will retire at 9 am tomorrow. The new standards and training for many veteran policeman would rather retire than comply with a entirely new system.

There are murmers of up to 2000 officers will retire, resign or be terminated within the next two weeks.

Denver PD has terminated all 6 of the officers involved in the shooting of 33 rounds of teargas canisters at the black sedan with a pregnant woman inside.

Also a officer who dropped a live teargas round in a moving vehicles passenger window of 2 19 year old teenagers was also terminated.

Same news conference held at 8 pm
The Denver PD announced new regulations and guidelines.

Teargas use is now illegal in de-escalting events of any kind. Rubber or pepper bullets are also now banned for police use.

This comes after 4 lawsuits of excessive use and or bodily injury were approved by grand juries on Friday afternoon.

Also announced was a statewide ban of chokeholds by all law enforcement officers.

Denver PD lastly announced required all Swat and special designated units to have body cam at all times while on duty. If any officer points his weapon at anytime during his shift he or she are mandated to a supervisor to review as to why.

Good riddance to some bad cops in NYC. They've been largely out of control during these protests here. Many of the instances of escalation have been because of them. Hire some new ones that are actually interested in Protect and Serve. And weaken the PBA. Win/Win.

Dallas, Fort Worth and Arlington will propose a 5 point restructuring of policing Monday due to pressure of community leaders and the city council.

Day 13 of protests in Dallas saw 200 officers kneel and pray with a estimated 7000 person crowd in the downtown plaza region.

Nevada police union said it will fully support police reform. Nevada has the highest standard for protecting communities and fully condemn violence committed against citizens throughout the country.

The union has seen the breakthrough that recent protests have highlighted inequality and racial bias in policing and fully supports reform. We want all members of our departments to help our great state come together again and heal as one.

Chicago is NOT the worst city for murders, per capita. Not even close. Because of its size, there's only 2 comps, and it does have more murders than those two.

But violent crime? I see none other than Minneapolis ahead of Chicago in violent crimes per capita, and that was based on 2018 data. Minneapolis used to a great city. Vibrant town. Plenty of nightlife. In the past 20 years, Minneapolis has gone into the toilet.

You are correct about Chicago per capita. What is unbelievable last year Chicago had more murders than NY City and Los Angeles COMBINED. Those other two cities each have larger populations Than Chicago.
That should be a total embarrassment to the police and city. Same old stuff just keeps going along. They change police superintendents every couple of years and promise change of course it doesn't. Different Mayors same old keeps going on. The city is a total disgrace.

I know they get pulled over more. Many times because of dumb shit like faulty equipment on the car. It’s an open invitation to get stopped.

black and white in car gets pulled over often.. happened to me 2 x on the way to casino. did nothing wrong.. once a white cop once ...black cop too.

If half the dirty cops in the US quit and were replaced with officers with even a neutral sense of integrity, it would put a huge dent in the street gang, organized crime game.

Gangsters rely heavily on dishonest cops for clearance, intel, enforcement, trafficking, muscle and more.

Hope this cleans up the streets some.

The officers that are quitting and retiring are the ones that have principles and don't believe a mob that just decimated the city should be allowed to make demands.

The senior NYC cops are a corrupt lot, that does whatever they want because the PBA has too much power. The assholes that are retiring are the old burned out guys, too set in their ways to change. Good riddance. The ones that are staying are the younger ones that are flexible to the new way of doing things, as will the hopefully large amount of new hires.
