Update 12:48 p.m. PT DeChambeau wins his third set, going 403 yards with his fourth ball to win the set. That means he’s qualified for tomorrow. Also what Bryson seems to be better at than many of his competitors is landing balls on the grid. He tends to hit the fairway at a higher frequency than most of the field.

Thankfully, Bryson is at his Pamela Peaks power. You watch him crash Kesha hard on the way down. This is the symbolic jumping the shank moment.

His swing speed will prevent him from winning

I only occasionally watch long drive events but usually guys are lucky to put 2 in the grid, with 1 of them being a slight mishit, often they cant get 1 in. A pro like bryson should have a huge advantage in that regard.
