Re: Catholic Church must not be doing so well

Three separate collections last Sunday at Our Lady of Las Vegas.

I gave each time just in case Meaty was lurking.

Too many non biblical practices, praying to statues, non marry preists, etc.

Im not racist Archie, I just use as an effective handicapping tool. BTW Black coaches are 0-6 this bowl season.

Interestingly, Catholocism is one of the more successful religions in this time of secularism and economic difficulties. Buying new properties, building new churches, proselytizing Newt Gingrich.

And nope, I'm not Catholic.

Meaty dips into the collections every Sunday to replenish his bankroll. His losing tout picks are burying his clients and the Catholic church.

Raising money for religious causes seems to be recession-proof.

In fact, many people give more in tough economic times.

What a racket.

Anybody remember Robert Fller and his glass cathedral in Garden Grove? My grandmother who was a devout Catholic made a few contributions to that carnival tout....what a scam he had going....anyone have any updates on that glass house?

You should see some of these Temple complexes in Thailand where the monks live...great big tourist attractions....you should see the number of monks working the street every morning for food and donations...from what I see though is many poor people having a good meal because of these donations to the monks...
