cfl rule ???

Last play of the game Edm and Sask. Sask down by 3 QB throws ball to wide receiver down field he catches ball and is about 30 yards short of goal line the recevier then punts the ball toward the goal posts. What was he trying to do can they punt the ball threw the goal posts for points after they catch a pass in the cfl?

No....its like an onside kick. If it was behind the line the WR can kick it and if Sask comes up with the ball and take it to the end zone its a touchdown.
