Sad but not surprising. Western Mich had a $1 million payday making a hour busride to Notre Dame. That may not happen now.

I think the power 5 conferences with ND and BYU will be your new D1.

Regardless of the merits of the cancellations, let’s be clear: it isn’t Covid per se that’s killing off these games; it’s the (paranoid over)reaction to Covid that did the deed.

That is actually done to benefit the coach. I know Dan Monson at Long Beach actually gets a cut of the massive payday for playing games at places like Kansas, North Carolina, etc. I do think this coming CBB season we will see teams staying local and not flying all over the USA...........if we actually have a season?
