I dont think we are overreacting. I thought that at first but when people are really passing away just because of getting this, its a problem. I know most had other conditions but the human body shouldn't be succumbing to this.

The lunacy of the left is stunning, very real worry about 1 segment of society being overwhelmed(health care), so they destroy all segments of society and literally throw everyone out of work. All with the distinct possibility that the whole objective is unachievable to begin with.

All around sucks Merlin. I dont know what to say really. What do you say to somebody in the service industry whether its bartending, hotel, servers. Cooks etc.. if they arent on salary they are shit out of luck?

We went from recommendations to wash hands, avoid large crowds, socially isolate, and try to protect the vulnerable. All very good ideas that would help a great deal, to deliberately throwing everyone out of work, that happened in 7-10 days, all for no reason.
It's pure madness, it's highly likely that the health care industry will be overwhelmed anyway - for 4-5-6 weeks, so all this craziness is futile.
Trump needs to come out and say NO, we cant do that, we cant destroy america to try to save a lost cause.
It's gonna be real bad for a month or two, but we'll get through it, if we destroy the economy- destroy millions of small and large businesses that will never come back - we wont get through it.

Hospitals and rooms are swamped as is and I think the biggest problem we would have delt with is if we didnt do all this now, later down the line you would have complete chaos on who decides what. Who to save, treat, take care of. Who deserves what?

The solution is to keep all businesses open, we should do what they do in asia, the businesses are open but people wear masks when inside.
No joke-my buddy told me to go to the local Asian Market and they had everything I needed including plenty of toilet paper. Seems like the Asian community has enough respect for others to avoid selfishly hoarding.

Just got back from walmart, not as looted as last time, they even had toilet paper( I didn't buy any).
By the way, the store was busy, the roads were busy, all the fast food places I passed were busy(bars and rest. closed), Nothings really changed except the govt has put 150,000 minnesotans out of work.

Here in the Phoenix area it’s pretty slow. The traffic in the valley is usually a total bitch and I’d say the roads are at least 50% less busy

Same here, less traffic during the rush hours, but there's a shitload of people moving around, we're not locked down and businesses are open, but very few are buying anything, kohls was deserted this week when I popped in. if business stays dead the stores will have no choice but to close, it's a snowball effect.
Now you have all these politicians who've shut down everything admitting that 40-80% of people will get it, so we're destroying the nation to delay the inevitable.
