You could see He was thinking of going down but figured(rightly, IMO) scoring a TD was the better play, since SF had their TO's.
Mahomes had 2 INTs but lets be real .. if Mahomes is not in that game the 49ers win by about 17 to 20 points .. Westgate for some reason on game day pumped up the odds on Mahomes to win MVP to + 125 because they probably wasn't getting much action on that prop or they thought SF was going to win the bowl

Just stop it. Why does it have to be light skinned X vs dark skinned Y which had 0 to do with it? There's enough racial tension because of idiots on both sides of that argument already. Now if you want to say mahomes is the chosen 1 and if there is any doubt at all it's going to him then sure. Brady, Montana, eli manning, Bradshaw etc have all won Super Bowl mvps without being the best player on the field that day.

I watched the replay of the game today.
Those pair of batted-down passes by Jones came at a great time for a Kansas City defense in desperate need of a stop.
In hindsight, the 49ers defense should have thought twice before celebrating in the endzone after picking off Mahomes early in the fourth quarter.
The 49ers defense posed for the crowd with a 10-point lead and less than 12 minutes left in the game.
Every Kansas City drive that followed ended exactly the way the Chiefs wanted.
The Chiefs went on to score touchdowns on their next three possessions and then killed the clock with three kneel-downs and a game-ending incompletion.
Did the 49ers suffer from premature jocularity?

Kansas City is located in the state of Missouri, as is the team and the team's stadium (Of course Trump doesn't have this correct.)
I've known this all my life as a native Missourian from the St. Louis metro area, located about 250 mile to the east, on the opposite side of the state.
I like to think of both cities as the population "weights" (KC metro - 2.5 million, St. Louis metro - 2.8 million) at the ends of a barbell "running" west to east or east to west (depending upon your perspective) across the state.
So the Super Bowl goes through Kansas City, located in the State of Missouri.
FWIW. there IS a Kansas City, Kansas, right across the state line.

Kansas City, MO is the big city, not Kansas City, KS (KC, Kansas is in essence a suburb.)
East St. Louis, Illinois IS located right across the Mississippi River from St. Louis, Missouri.
That doesn't make Illinois the home state of the St. Louis Cardinals or Blues although both teams have many fans from the Illinois side as the Chiefs do from the Kansas side.

Mahomes had two awful picks and almost lost the game by himself. Then Mahomes missed a wide open Hill 2 and 15. 3rd and 15 Hil made a great double move to get wide open and left the DB spinning around. Bad pass that Hill waited under as if it were a punt. Mahomes under threw Kelce bad but got a PI. Eli once a got a cheap one and Mahomes got a cheap one here.
