Shortly after that interview, we were busted and 13 of us went on our famous fed tour of 6 fed facilities...there is a book ready to be written about those adventures...my family found out that I was among the lucky ones on CNN News...we were not allowed a phone call until 2 weeks after we were arrested...op:

VD, one of these days you really have to write that book, love hearing stories about old Vegas and the old days of gambling, I'm sure you've met plenty of characters over the years and have enough stories to fill up two books

I haven't been on the forum for a few years now, this thread brought back old memories. I was working for Mickey Wheels in the Dominican Republic as a ticket writer at the time. I remember that like yesterday. Those were the best days of my life in the business, nothing will ever beat the pioneer days. It was fun being a clerk back then, I loved giving the lines out to BW, Donut, Artie, Jim Feist, Gary Austin, all of BW beards, and I was good at figuring out who they were. Does anyone know what ever happened to Cigar Tommy? I've been in Las Vegas since 2017, and I have yet to run across him.
