FBS title odds make no sense

USC is 100-1 to win the national title, same odds as teams with losses that would seem to eliminate them like OU and Texas, as well as Texas A&M. USC seems to have a great shot at unbeaten season with no ranked teams on the schedule, just a conference champ game to really worry about. If they are 7-0 and being the glamor school in the big market that they are, wouldn't you have to think they get the last spot in the final four?

It will be interesting to see the improvement from Year 1 to Year 2 for USC quarterback Kedon Slovis.

USC is an 11-point home fave today over Arizona State.

Pac-12 football has earned only two bids to the College Football Playoff since its inception in the 2014-15 season.

SEC leads with seven appearances, the ACC is second at six.

The Big 12, by the way, has four appearances with zero victories.

Oklahoma is 0-3 versus SEC competition and 0-1 versus ACC reps in the College Football Playoff.

What really makes it hard for USC besides the ease of their schedule - will they play 7 games? The PAC 12 already has 2 games cancelled today.

Yes.

The very weakness of USC's regular season schedule while working for going 6-0, works against them getting into the playoffs.

Probably will be a dog in the PAC-12 championship game and probably still not get into the playoffs. Even If they do pull off the bid, they would probably be 10/1 to win the title. I don't see any value at 100/1 overall.
