Her name is Kim Ng and she's the first woman to be named GM of a baseball team. I don't know anything about her but she was an assistant GM for both the Yankees and and Dodgers

Chicago White Sox, 1990-96. Ng started as an intern with the club, moving up through various roles until she was promoted to assistant director of baseball operations.

American League office, 1997. Ng was the director of waivers and records.

New York Yankees, 1998-2001. At just 29 years old, Ng was hired as the club’s assistant general manager, the youngest person to hold the role at that time and only the second woman ever to have the title. It’s here that she worked with Jeter, who was ascending to superstar status as the club won World Series titles in 1998, 1999 and 2000.
Los Angeles Dodgers, 2002-11. Ng moved from NYC to Los Angeles as the club’s vice president and assistant general manager. Ng was involved in pretty much every aspect of the club, including “assisting the general manager in all facets of Major League player acquisitions, overseeing the club's arbitration efforts, and managing the daily responsibilities of the baseball operations department,” as told in an MLB news release. It’s during this time that Ng first interviewed for an open GM position, in 2005.
MLB, 2011-2020. Ng was hired to work with Joe Torre as a senior vice president of baseball operations. She, again, handled a variety of roles, including overseeing international baseball operations for MLB.

Nothing sadder than unqualified people getting jobs and opportunities. Why doesn't she manage a womans softball team or something similar?

Completely agree, that's why it was so important to kick Trump out of office, him and his cronies were the most unqualified people to ever hold office, it was sad indeed, but now the 4 year nightmare is over and we can get back to normalcy in this country

Miami's principal owner Bruce Sherman and Kim Ng were both raised in Queens about 20 years apart.

While Kim Ng has been a senior executive in MLB for years, let’s also remember Kim Pegula who has held
a senior executive position with both the Bills and Sabres. Pegula hasn’t been afraid to assert herself in
Sabres’ coaching decisions.

Coincidentally, she is married to Terry Pegula, who owns both teams.

I recall hearing about a contest @ the 1980’s where a product, I forget which one, passed out a scratch off ticket with one letter with each purchase. You won a decent prize if you could spell your last name with collected tickets. The catch was there were very few vowels, so few winners were expected.
They had to abort that promo quickly because a lot of Vietnamese were cashing in with their last name, Ng.

I bet Slavic motherfuckers were holding their own, too.
