Chris Kotulak runs the place.

Good for Kotulak.

I always liked his presentations on TVG.

He looks great for 56.

Subpar track announcer, but outstanding host.

I remember him at Hollywood Park where he was overmatched in the announcer's booth.

Big-time talent at a small-time operation.

I watched a jockey jerk his horse back near the finish line so he would finish 4th last week. Don't recall what race, but obviously the fix was in. It's likely in plenty of races, but this one looked bad.

BP2 just started another thread about the interest level in tonight's wager.

Such bad horses.
Blue line, any advice? Any tips?
I’ve bet the pick 5s every Monday and Tuesday the last few weeks with no success

Fonner Park track announcer Steve Anderson referenced the 9/16ths pole during the call of tonight's seventh race.

The sixteenth-pole and the 3/16ths pole are sometimes referenced but I've never heard the 9/16ths pole during the call of a race.

I remember seeing the 5/16ths pole in some Daily Racing Form chart calls.

The worst DQ i have ever seen in 47 years of betting the horses

I thought riders were allowed some discretion at bush-league racetracks.

That was a harsh call.

The winner appeared to win fair-and-square.

The jockey aboard the runner-up put his horse in a dangerous spot.

Strange.

What's more: It was a rider's objection, not a stewards' inquiry.

Talk about a high risk of race-fixing in the day's eighth race.

More than $4 million in the overall pool, if you include the carryover, and the final race purse was a paltry $3,400.

The wagering public places a lot of trust in the integrity of the game.
