Rain would make the court even slower, harder to slide on, and the ball wouldn't have as big of a bounce. So, the court slowing down favors Nadal, but the ball not bouncing as high would limit part of his game.

KingRevolver Born Rambler Jun 4, 2011 #163 Re: French Open Also, unless we get very heavy rain, I believe they do a good job of covering up the court. If they delayed the match till Monday, it would give Federer an extra day of rest... that's always good when you're pushing 30.
