MIA had their best offensive game of the post-season. 125.3 points per 100 possessions. They got killed
on the offensive boards. Why? Because James, Davis and Howard camp in there, especially Howard. No

It really sucks that the Heat are as shorthanded as they are, if healthy I really think this could have been a competitive series, but there is no asterisk, injuries are part of the game and unfortunately Miami had an enormous amount of bad luck injury wise in game one. If we're handing out asterisks, then what about giving one to the GS team that beat Cleveland without Kyrie and Love, and that also means we're giving one to last year's Raptors who beat GS without KD, Klay, and Steph. Sorry Heim it doesn't work that way, if the Lakers win, they deserve it fair and square.

Understood, but everyone is in the same boat. Would the Heat have beaten the Bucks or Celtics if those teams had gotten home court advantage which they should have? Would the Clippers have choked a 3-1 lead against Denver if game 7 was on their home floor? We don't know what would have happened under normal circumstances, but the bottom line is 16 teams entered the bubble, all teams played on a neutral court, all teams played under the same circumstances, and only one will walk out unscathed, and barring a miracle that team is the Lakers. Would I love to see the Heat get to play game three in Miami, of course, but LeBron would still be LeBron whether he's in Miami or a bubble and they still wouldn't have an answer for AD whether they were in Miami or a bubble. Like I said, we both thought the Heat were a live dog before the series, and by losing Dragic and especially Bam, we'll never know what might have happened, but it is what it is, just have to give the Lakers credit and move on.

I could have told you about the defensive liability of those guys, despite being one of the best shooters in the league, when the Heat are fully healthy Robinson rarely plays in the fourth quarter when defense becomes paramount, and Herro is only 20, the kid has some serious skills, defending isn't one of them, I can see a scenario where down the line he becomes a good defender due to his athleticism and work ethic, but two years ago he was in HS and now he's starting on a team playing in the finals, that's a lot to ask out of a kid. I'm surprised Derrick Jones Jr hasn't gotten any playing time, he's the opposite of Herro, he struggles shooting the ball, but he can defend, he's a freak athlete and his length causes the other team problems on the defensive end

If I was Spo, assuming Bam can't go in game 3, I would give Haslem the start, now I'm not saying he's stopping AD, but at least he'll put a body on him knock him on his ass a time or two be physical with him, right now AD is playing in his own world, shooting over anyone covering him, grabbing offensive rebounds and laying them back in, scoring in the paint without any resistance, he's like Godzilla walking through the city trampling everything and everyone around him, just let UD get in there for a few minutes and let AD know it isn't gonna be as easy as it's been for him.

HCA is bigger in the playoffs...has nothing to do with fans but familiarity, sleeping in your own bed etc...the cover rate for a team down 0-2 going back home is ~60% even with the number being discounted.

IDK how much of an effect fans have on HCA, but I do think it can influence a ref's call at times.

It shouldn't be a big deal at all since the 5th seed would not receive home court advantage anyway unless they upset their first round opponent and the 7th would upset the 2 in round 1, or further upsets on the bracket thereafter.

We have prehistoric genes operating in the post-modern world and there is something about protecting your "Home," that really does resonate, ecspecially when you have a screaming mob behind you.
IDK either how much of an effect fans have but for me, just using common sense and the two studies above, they certainly have an effect.
