Gonzaga vs. Michigan/UCLA

Looking like UCLA will pull off the mini upset.

I'd probably make the Zags -14.5 vs UCLA. If UCLA puts up 4 points in 10 minutes like they did tonight, they'll be down 28-4, not 11-4.

Baylor vs Houston will be an absolute battle that either one who advances won't have anything left for Gonzaga 48 hours later.

It was Gonzaga from jump and will forever be kicking myself in the butt for not betting them.

Gonzaga doesn't experience 'few minute lulls' because of how deep they are. They are the only college team that can say that. A bad offensive 'spurt' for them will be scoring 8 points in a 5.5 minute period. Baylor might have a 'spurt' where they go scoreless in 5.5 minutes. Same with Houston. I think the Zags still win the final by double digits.

UCLA matches up better with the Zags than USC. Zags have no rim protection and SC
predictably failed to take advantage of that.

Cronin might have found a nugget off the bench with the Nigerian kid

Gonzaga is 4-0 ATS in the 2021 NCAA tourney.

I believe 4-0 ATS in the first half, too.

Led Norfolk State by 20 at the half, OU by 12, Creighton by 10 and USC by 19.

Few comes across as Richie Cunningham in post-game interviews but he goes for the jugular every game.

He was pressing and trapping 3/4 court versus SC up 20. It's been that way all year. DD wins in every game
but West Virginia.

He knows he has the goods this year, will not allow this team to let up for a second.

Conclusion, hard to fade.

UCLA covers easy and will have a shot final TV timeout. The Running Rebels were thought to be untouchable against Puke. JK knows howid that ended.

Final score: Duke 79 UNLV 77.

Of course, the Duke-UNLV was not the championship game in 1991.

It was a semifinal-round contest.

And let's not forget, UNLV was "only" an 8-point favorite in the game despite beating Duke 103-73 in the title game the previous season.

One big difference between the 1990 game and the 1991 matchup: Freshman Grant Hill of Duke.

If Gonzaga rolls again, crown their asses. UCLA seems like the right team at the right time. If they make it a brick fest, they can steal it at the end. UCLA and under or Gonzaga and over.

The only time you'll see the Zags slow things down is with the game well in hand. They'll do their damage early and Few will slow tempo up multiple double digits by the 3rd media TO of the 2nd half . Even with UCLA's defense, they won't be able to keep up a finetic pace and be that successful. The matchup fared a lot better with Michigan that most expected as the Bruins just clamped down late and we're able to play to their pace.
