How do the coach and GM of the NY Giants keep their jobs?

Doesn't hurt that they're white.

I vote right most the time (and love Trump) but it's true - black coach and/or black QB you better win fast and win consistently to keep your job.

Why? One thing is the fan base, read the comments in the other thread.

We tend to have more patience with people that look like we do.

Tony Dungy was the one that got me......

Still recall seeing the rain coming down as they showed him loading his stuff in the car after being fired.

He turned the Bucs around and I give him (and GM McKay) 100% of the credit for that first ring.

Do you see where things started to change?

Tony Dungy
1996-2001
54-42-0
56.3%

Sam Wyche
1992-1995
23-41-0
35.9%

Richard Williamson
1991
3-13-0
18.8%

Ray Perkins
1987-1990
20-43-0
31.7%

Leeman Bennett
1985-1986
4-28-0
12.5%

John McKay
1976-1984
44-88-1
33.5%

Probably should put this in the other thread.

Gruden was a bust. He won the first year with Dungy's team and NEVER won another playoff game after that.......

The longer a coach stays and the less productive the team becomes is one hell of an argument to defeat.

We move on.

It's just preparing for gratitude Daboll got getting the Giants to the postseason a few years ago but they rightfully so got rewarded with a really tough schedule upcoming, probably the toughest in the league. He and Scheon are going to pick 3rd and are going to have to get this operation either a top QB (Sanders or Ward) and if not perhaps a Travis Hunter as this is no doubt their last opportunity though I don't see them doing much better in '25. Then again almost anything could be better than just 3 wins in '24.

No Teams are Drooling Over Sanders and Ward.

But on Paper , They're The Best Available.

Deion made it clear Shadeur ain't going to Cleveland.

For Vrabel, let the sweepstakes begin. Doubtful it works that the Giants attempt to trade up. Perhaps they get lucky in round 2 at #34.

Dungy for sure turned them around but they weren't winning a championship with him as their Head Coach. Their defense was great but he had no QB. The only reason he won a Super Bowl as a Head Coach is Payton Manning was next level and even with that roster he only won one.
